It made its debut in San Francisco and I would assume that it's now safe at home with somebody one county south, maybe north.

I have to warn you Dani Trio fellows that I started it, and how. It was brought out at about the same time as the crab, which almost everybody else was eating by hand. I don't have anything Dani Trio. I have some of winedoc's leather pen cases, so having them at the table with him there is as close as I get. I offered it up to anybody else, but they were eating, so since I wasn't, I put a little in.

Look away if you won't want to know before you see it what I used.

I used a Platinum 3776 maki-e (I know, screened on, pine trees) medium nib that I filled with a little Skrip King's Gold to show. I'll probably still have it around for Xmas cards. That was the most closely related pen I had inked up, and the ink was something different.

Sounds like a great idea, though not sure if any of you know me : )

I'm in Manila as well, and will handle any shipping costs I may need to on our end

If people want to join and it fits to have them cut in line because of geography, then we'll do that.

Once you get the journal, PM the next person and ask for their address. Give them a few days to respond (and it'll give you a few days to do your bit in the journal). If they don't respond in 2-3 days, go to the next person and PM them.

Please post in this thread when you get the journal!

Put whatever you like in the journal - writing, poetry, pictures, photos, crab juice, whatever. No limits - just try and do it with a Danitrio Pen!

Hi All

I'd be interested in being involved - never done to anything like this before. However, I'm in the UK, so I'd completely understand if you didn't feel it was worth sending it over to Europe, just for one contributor.

Best wishes and congrats for coming up with this great idea.

All the best

I'm also in the UK but my Fellowship Pen is still with Kevin (at my request). I would be glad to join in this initiative, I could use one of my other Danis to fill it in.

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of nothing at all...

Ozstralia....

As opposed to the Land of Oz - Dorothy, Toto, and all that - very near where I live.

Edited by Kelly G

May we live, not by our fears but by our hopes; not by our words but by our deeds; not by our disappointments but by our dreams.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
