Thank you! When I saw your photo I couldn't resist making an homage.

Yours truly has been a life-long Timex user. I don't wear wristwatches, but rather carry them in the pocket.

During classes the Timex is discreetly placed on a table-top to remind me of the remaining time, so that the lessons end when the bell rings.

Universities here are strictly regimented in various aspects, including class duration.

The brown Sheaffer No-Nonsense dates back to my own days as an undergraduate.

It still writes well without any issues, after having been misplaced and forgotten in a box for more than three decades.

Combining the two reflects the lasting values of the basic in life.

It was a nice surprise to find that you felt likewise.

Timex makes a solid watch. I've got an Expedition that just won't die. I've worn it through trail bike crashes that put me and the bikes out of commission, sweated all over it back when I was running 21 min 5 ks, wore it through Tough Mudder (mud, water and electricity), swam with it, gotten sand in it, rock climbed with it and no amount of abuse will slow it down. It's even survived a toddler. My daughter recognizes it when I wear it and likes to play with the Indiglo. She also likes to "wear" it which means letting it slide off her arm onto the hard tile floor and step on it.

 

I'm well on my way to a 3rd strap, but that's got less to do with quality and more to do with hygene.

My wedding gift watch, Xeric Halograph Chrono Quartz. Fountain pen is a Ensso Piuma Black Aluminum (off of massdrop) One of my favorite pens to use.

Just found this interesting gallery. I enjoyed the watch and fountain pen pairings.

 

Here's my attempt to contribute.

 

The pen bears no branding on the barrel nor the clip, but it came with a Parker 14K nib that looks like it's made to match the size of the pen (rather petite), so I have no reason for suspecting that this pen didn't originate from the Parker factory (probably made for others which explains the lack of branding).

 

The watch is an Aristocrat Railroad Special. My research indicates that this is a product from the 40's (it has the stamp 42 inside the back). It wasn't working when I got it, but when I opened the watch and had a look, I spotted something that jutted out of one of the gears in a weird angle, using one of my dental picks (I have those for restoring fountain pens), I tried to nudge the odd part, and after a few tries, the "part" got dislodged from the gear and guess what... the watch started ticking (it has been running since, when wound every 2 days or so). What do you know?

Not quite Force's 017, but here is a Manchester Watch Works with a 62mas-like case along with a PFM procured a few years ago from Tim Peirson at the Chicago Pen Show.

Today it's a Swatch Irony chrono and a No-Nonsense flighter (with Texaco logo). The Irony chronos are on the large side for Swatches, at 40 mm. Center seconds is for the chrono, running seconds is on a sub-dial. Crystal is acrylic or similar, so scratches can be micro-meshed out.
