Many Thanks

The section looks to be about 10mm diameter

This looks great, a largeish pen that is original but not too expensive

I looked on the forum, and tried the translate button , and all was revealed !

I hope all the testing goes well and success comes soon !

John

I'm always on the lookout for inexpensive piston-fill fountain pens. I hope they work as beautifully as they look! :) And pricing them so attractively is great coz I'll want multiple pens. By the way, will the nibs or sections be sold separately?

one of the major purpose of this pen is to make it fun, so the nib/filler section will be sold separately for different nib size you will need.

That's great news! I'll wait patiently for your pens to be released. Don't forget bold colours like yellow, orange, purple, light blue... As long as it looks sophisticated. And silver trimmings, not gold, please! :D

Tooling delay notice!

Twsbi Diamond piston filling fountain pen, three screw off parts; cap, barrel, and barrel cap, due to using new ball screw mechanism design, the tooling test result is not smooth on opening operation; we have been working on this issue for two weeks. Today we have an internal meeting, to prevent further unknow delay in timing, we will use spare cavity insert to create three more simple type tooling, so we can have the parts sooner for product performance test. The tooling time for these three simple tooling will take about two weeks, meaning around end of Nov. In the mean time, the debug on existing ball screw tooling will be continued.

I feel sorry for keep everybody expecting and waiting. But, don't worry, by end of this month I believe the parts will come out and ready for product test.

Fascinating thread, an insight into how pens are developed. I would like one or two when they are available.

Impossible I suppose, but it would have been great if I could have to use the pen with my spare Pelikan nib.

Will the nib unscrew for cleaning like Pelikans?

Why fleebay, save the fees of ebay and offer your first batch here. You have a captive audience that already want to buy your product here. You save a buck and they save a buck and you both make out. why put a third party in the mix? Just a thought.

Speedy, I'd reckon your first lot is sold-out ;)

If everything goes well, we may have found a potential supplier for a future FPN LE pen...

Who better to supply an FPN pen than an FPN member?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
