This system is very nice, but I found out that I'm willing to share inks that almost everybody has... No point in doing that, so I removed my listing. ;) On the other hand I now have over 50 bottles of ink and I really can do without the inspiration of all these other inks... ^_^

OK, I am going to give this a try, here is my little stash...

I have to offer:

* Private Reserve -Lake Placid Blue

* Private Reserve - Burgandy Mist

* Pelikan 4001 - Blue

* Pelikan 4001 - Black

* Visconti - Brown

* Diamine - Umber

* Diamine - Sepia

What I would like is:

* Private Reserve - Copper Burst

* Private Reserve - Shoreline Gold

* Noodlers - Tiananmen

* Noodlers - Turuoise

* Noodlers - Beaver

* Noodlers - Purple Martin

* Diamine - Woodland Green

I am open to anything odd. I am not much of a "black & blue" person so if you want one of my ink samples, let me know what you have! I do tend to stray more towards the red's and browns though.

Now that I've built up a small collection of inks, I've got a few I can offer up to interested parties, too.

I've got:

Vintage:

Skrip Emerald (late 40s/early 50s)

Quink Permanent Red (WWII-era)

Custom Blends

a Dennis Lively original that's a mix of the vintage Skrip Emerald and PR Avocado...very nice green

a Blackberry-ish mix of the Quink and Waterman Black (it's an interesting look)

Moderns

Skrip Black - A couple of Slovenian cartridges and a bottle

Waterman Black - Bottles and cartridges

Omas Black - Bottle

J. Herbin Perle Noir - 1 cartridge

Pelikan Royal Blue - Bottle

Lamy Blue - Bottle

Waterman South Seas Blue - Bottle

J. Herbin Bleu Nuit - Bottle

Waterman Red - cartridges

Waterman Green - cartridges

Waterman Blue-Black - I think I have a cartridge of this somewhere

I think that's it, although I'll have to do a little checking and potentially update the list.

I'm looking for samples of:

J Herbin Eclat de Saphir

Private Reserve Sherwood

Private Reserve DC Supershow Blue

Private Reserve Orange Crush

Private Reserve Black Cherry

Noodler's Bulletproof Black

Noodler's Apache Sunset

Noodler's Habanero

Noodler's Kiowa Pecan

SwishMix Tahitian Pearl

SwishMix Seminole Sepia

Swisher's Midnight Black

Swisher's North Sea Blue

Aurora Black

Aurora Blue

I'm also looking for a Ferrari-red ink, but I'm not sure which is the closest to approximate that color. Someday I'd love to own a 355 or 360, but since that'll most likely never happen, I'd at least like the color for my pen!

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
