I can dream... :hmm1:

Henry, be warned!

This dream is likely to involve a packet sniffer on your LAN, configured to identify incoming emails from GP (and Chris, esterbex and Jeremy Clarkson, if they wish to be included in the scheme), and signal a controller connected to pneumatic actuators cunningly hidden in your favourite comfy chair that will prod you incessantly until you check your email.

Going right off topic (of Henry's delicious pens) I remember the fun I had when I used the dreaded "incredimail" and chose the fly that flew into the window - my screen - when a new email landed!

Then Ray arrived and deleted the fun from my computer life.........now I just run plain old OE!

Those were the days..............and in fact they were the days when Jeremy Clarkson was sane and did a very good Top Gear prog. :headsmack:

How does it look?

Jeremy Clarkson indeed!

Yay!!! That makes me happy to know I can always find and dream and admire your work with that perfect signature. :notworthy1: I know I'm going to get one of these....just drooling over which one.

With the new FPN rules, now I REALLY don't know what to put in my signature.

Jeremy Clarkson has just sent me an E-mail, he informs me that he does not like playing the part of the 'butt of a joke', and that he is going to get his people onto it!!!

Truffle Finder.

LOL! I had to remind myself who Jeremy Clarkson was. Such as great show to watch.

I've just finished watching Jeremy and friends crossing the channel and landing on a French beach in a pickup truck....amazingly wreckless, but God watches over fools they say....

I had something more in mind along the lines of a guy running in dressed in a monk's robe and buffetting Henry with a pillow embroidered with, "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!" But then we'd have to refurbish the garden shed so he'd have a place to stay, which would interfere with the worm grubbing at the bottom of the garden... :hmm1:

I am pleased to report that the London Pen Show was a great success for me anyway, but it appeared that business was brisk for most of the exhibitors in the main hall.

I met quite a few new people both 'Pen Collectors' as well as 'Pen Users', and I hardly stopped once the public were allowed in, till nearly 4.00pm in the afternoon, when the show slowed down, and people started to pack up and make their way home.

Both George[GWP], and Neal came, armed with their cameras, and so hopefully there will be quite a few postings here in the next few days.

But "Noooooooooooobody expected the Spanish Inquisition!!!"

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
