No! Not more egg profundity! Not after the Bo-Boism in the Achilles thread about chicken and eggs appearing on the same side of the road at the same time! :yikes: :gaah: I shan't have a feather to fly with if y'all keep dangling Henry goodies in front of me! :bawl:

Think I was next in line, but pulled off on the taxiway to study my inks this morning. Simply could NOT decide on the color I wanted. :bonk:

29,055 I think.........and counting!

Drool should be saved for times when water is hard to get........or can you make ink from it???

OMG OMG OMG! I love those Dragons! The photos reinforced my decision--the black Dragon may be even more stunning than the white (only because of the contrast--full attention is on the overlay rather than the Cassien--though it was difficult to decide!). I can't wait for Kevin and Jasmin to arrive! :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01:

Ha ha ha! Twins! That is a very nice thought indeed, but I do not think my checkbook would appreciate the stress that would entail. I'll have to be (and am, perfectly) happy with just one Kevin. :)

I have to say that both are uniquely exquisite and I love them both!

But then, where Simpoles are concerned, I admit to loving them all....

Congrats, Chris! Which nib did you end up choosing?

We talked and talked............about this and that...........sealing wax and sailing ships - sorry! I digress......... I have italics in all three sizes - and have left the choice to Henry.....maybe just a plain fine nib - or IM or IB. I won't know until I get it here in my waiting hands!!! A button filler - not a pen that can become an ED........... I have to ink up Agatha C. to keep this one company - what do you think? Now a name................... I think feminine, but not Suzi, I have a daughter with that name - not Sarah because that is Kate's second name - help me out here please :notworthy1: !

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
