Weird Estie Nib

From what I've seen so far (with my limited exposure!), the 83xx nibs with over-feeds are on the Pennants. I've seen reference to the 8361(exfine),8363(medium & steno), 8364(broad), and 8365(steno) either in person or c/o MP listings. That leaves an 8362 to fill in the gap. Is this nib out there as well and what is it?

Check https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=119393&view=findpost&p=1181778 It has a photo of 8362 and says FLEXFINE (dont breath too hard for the "FLEX" part :) ).

Yes, I sold one here earlier this year, and the term "Flexible" is not something I would use to describe it. :)

I have also seen Stenos, Mediums, fine, X-fine, but no broad models.

It says broad but its as thin as could be

Be careful in buying Wearevers thinking that all you got to do is screw the Wearever nib out and plop it into your Eastie.

I bought a box of Easties and Wearevers on Ebay with that idea, knowing some of the Easties did not have a nib.

Not a single of the Wearevers had a screw out nib.

Those Wearever screw in pens must have been made for a Wearever pen I do not have. I have a couple of Wearever top of the line, late 38-40, and a couple of 40's Pacemaker barrels also. They don't screw out in the the Zenith's, nor do the ones from the 60's,

Plan B.....well, four of the Wearevers were well worth saving coming from 1939-40, and there is a extra fine nib on the fake Wearever Parker 51 (banana pen), that is going to end up on one of those 1939 Wearevers, come the day. One Wearver from mid sixties was just fine and in my wife's fav color...so all was not lost. I even just bought a big bottle of Lamy Turquoise ink for it...well she can use my ink; I'm not stingy.

I have been running months behind ordering sacs, on account I bought a Pelikan 605, a 400 and a Cross Townsend set, instead.

I can not resist a great sale on a good pen it turns out.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
