Sad news Miranda...

Any "sensible" wait is well worth... but not this way!

Hope the pen finally finds its way into your hands (Have you consideres a trip to Kevin's house? ... seems the easiest way! but leave your dog and phone at home ;) )

Good grief! Doesn't your postal service hold an undelivered package for some reasonable amount of time to allow it to be claimed? I hope this matter gets straightened out.

Well, yes, it is supposed to do that, so something is not right. Moreover, they usually leave a ticket in your postbox informing you of an attempted delivery and telling you to get the package from your designated post office.

Hi Miranda,

Sorry you are having so much problem. I got an email notification that the pen has been delivered, so I hope everything is OK now.

Glad the pens are starting to reach your hands... Now I can rest a bit easier knowing they all went to good homes and are treasured by you all. Now for the first batch of 31 pens, I have 3 folks traveling at the moment and 2 more to UK which will go out latest by Monday as my small town post office don't do international over the weekend.

The other 29 pens, both clip and clipless will start showing up end of August. This will provide a bit of breather for me. Some of you have asked me the total numbers of pens made, and the answer is 60.

Best,

Kevin

Mine has arrived safe and sound thank you Kevin. Just as impressive as I imagined.

I now have a new favourite pen.

My Fellowship pen arrived, too. Wow!!! It is more beautiful than I expected. I filled the cartridge with Iroshizuku Yu-yake (burnt orange) and the Flexy F nib glides like a dream. This is a wonderful pen. Thank you to all who made it possible.

I'm flying down there. I'll be peeking in your basement window just to make sure it is the first to be packed.

Ha, ha, if you are here, we'll have Lisa arrange a pen posse and you can just pick up the pen in person.... Pen Posse meets are a lot of fun you know.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
