Hi guys, good to be back. Traveling is fun, but with family... now I need another vacation just to recoup. LOL.

The pens are still on schedule for late July delivery. They will come in batches, so folks doing installments should not feel pressured. Buying pens should be fun... not stressful :-)

Welcome back Kevin!!!!

Hope you left only your footprints and took only memories.................kidding of course - but that is what they ask in our national parks here - and I've been wanting to say it for ages!

Any new pens from your trip? Come on - tell all - and be forgiven or envied or both.

We are all trying to be soooo patient!

Hi Chris,

Love that statement! No pens for me as I promised my wife and kids that this trip was not about me... although I was VERY tempted to get a few of those glass dip pens while in Venice, but I hold true to my words. The funny things is when time to fill out custom forms, I had to as my wife for a cheap BP... oh, she got a big laugh on that one :-)

Welcome back to real life, Kevin! ... we have been waiting here for you and have behaved relatively well... :P

Hi Jose,

Was in Barcelona for 3 nights, and what a lovely city. Bari Gotic was hectic and lots of tourists, but that Sargada Familia is just amazing. I do hope they get to complete it in my life time, so I can see the final product!

Glad to hear you had a great vacation, Kevin! Pictures, please. (Smiley demand. Hee!)

I still need to upload all the photos. I went nuts and took more than a thousand shots. Partially up on my facebook. Do you have one? I'll send you an invite.

Welcome back, Kevin!! Glad you had a good vacation, but equally glad to have you back torturing... uh... enticing us with wonderful pens!

I am sooo set for the Fellowship pen. I'm considering it a birthday treat, due to its timing. It might be a little late, but nonetheless, it couldn't be better even with a cake and candle (besides, I refuse all birthday candles - don't want to burn the house down).

A bit of good news for you. Just got words your 2 special pens will be here in August!! You are having a fantastic pen summer if you ask me

Good to be back!

Kevin

Yay!!!

Thank you, Kevin!

/bounce!

Yes, it has been quite a year. These last two pens are the symbols of the end to my year of opportunity. Next year, it's back to day to day, paycheck to paycheck, dollar to quarter... But I do have a very nice and wonderfully diverse collection of pens now, and no desire for accumulating more at this time, so I'm in very good shape!

PM coming your way.

Hi Danny,

Truly wish I could go to DC show, but came back to work today to find out one of the partner decided to quit. Long story short, he had a massive heart attack, so naturally took him over 2 years to recover enough to work 2 days a week. We had to cover for him during that time, and have to eventually hire someone to pick up the load, but that did not work out. So, finally a new guy is coming in August, but he is seriously thinking quiting for health reason. I totally understand, but this means more work for eveyone again.

I think most of the tower stuff are done. The view from the towers is amazing, but becareful which tower elevator you take. An elevator would take you to the new tower and allow you take the elevator down. A different elevator would take you up the original Gaudi towers, but you will have to walk down the very narrow and winding steps. for folks with walking difficulty, plus the heat of summer can be bad... but hey, we are talking about the original Guadi towers... and that's what we choose to do, and the kids just love it, best ride for 2.5 Euro.

He he... those "catalanes" can say good morning for only 25 cents! :D

ha ha, but we tourists are suckers and pay through the nose. Interesting that the signs are both in Spanish and Catalan.

That's what infuriated me with a lady in a business shop that she refused to pay attention to me because I was speaking Spanish to her: "Do you speak English? I'm from the Caribbean and there is NO way I speak Catalá".....Then she answered in Spanish... :headsmack:

Jopen:

BTW, in Spain they would ALWAYS ask me first: Are you from the [Canary] Islands? When I would say NO, then they would sayAh! from Puerto Rico. It is amazing how similar we talk and how distant we are from each other.

Yes... that sounds familiar...

BTW, what you say about the similar way in which we speak and how we take life... yes, as a Radio Ham I use to contact quite a lot PR and there are lots of similarities. I would say it ay be due to the "subtropical island climate" :roflmho:

Made my payment, too! Now it's just a matter of waiting (somewhat patiently) for the little beauty to arrive! :puddle:

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
