YESSSS!!!! So when is delivery?? :)

Man, you just have to ask a practical question, don't ya? :headsmack:

As soon as Memorial day is over, The first 50 pens will be in production. So, mid to late July would be my guess. I'll find out for sure though.

Hi Kevin,

I like the first and original design better.

Any news on the new EEF FLEXY nibs?

Any chance of us seeing a writing sample?

Ernest

Hi Ernest,

As soon as I can get my hands on one, I'll post some samples.

Best,

Kevin

This would be spectacular, and earlier than I'd dared hope. Now the real anticipation will kick in. Please tell the Danitrio Boss and The Artist that they have exceeded beyond measure in vision, excellence, and friendship.

Delivery to you by the 14th, delivery to me on the 21st, oh yeah...

Kevin,

Any chance you can post some additional pictures of pen #2 such that the more talented among us can put together a 360 degree collage as they did for pen #1.

Thanks

I'm sorry if I've missed this information somewhere in another thread, but what size is this pen please?

Many thanks

OK Gang, please check this thread to make sure I have all your data correct. You are "bolded" if you have committed to the Fellowship Pen. Unless otherwise indicated, you have the original design. If you see your name in BOLD, but did not see a nib choice, that means you have not yet decided.... or I screwed up. So, please check and let me know if I have made a mistake as I am sure there are mistakes. Thanks.

If I read the list correctly, it seems the original design was a unanimous choice. I hope the prototype artist was not disappointed.

He'll be glad to know that his pen was the first one sold, though. :)

Ah, that fresh ink on paper look!

Yup, the original design is the unanimous winner! The artist will not be disappointed, since he is the one came out with original design anyway. He just thought to give us another choice just in case. I mean, can you feel his enthusiasm

I had to go back to another thread to find the artist's name, but please ask them to convey to Kosetsu san our collective appreciation for his wonderful interpretation and work. It is remarkable.

On that note, where could we send a hand written note of thanks (written with our new pens, of course)?

Hi Kimy,

I am sure the artist would appreciate kind words from fellow members. Any written notes, cards, etc can be sent to Danitrio directly or to me and I'll be more than happy to collect these and forward them as a batch. Thanks.

Since many folks asked for size comparison pictures again, so here they are with a few well known pens.

Capped, the fellowship pen is the second from left (raw ebonite shown here)

Kevin, my name is bolded but shouldn't be since I, uh, decided to order two different pens from you instead. :D

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
