Oh my! Kevin, want me to be there, standing by with a towel and ice and maybe some single-malt whisky? In case you're overwhelmed, of course. I myself don't even want to look at the prototypes.

Yes, I do. I want to see them.

Two weeks -- fast! That'll be here in NO TIME! Hooray!

I'm not going to emphasize enough about Lisa's dangers... She could convince a deaf person with her words! :ltcapd:

Cannot wait to see the newborns. :bunny01: And I think it would be a nice young Zinfandel instead of the malt for Winedoc!

Oh by the way, nice Freudian slip Kevin, "Oh, mine!" , he says after finding out there are two! :roflmho: :roflmho: :roflmho:

This is great news, Kevin! I can't wait to see them! I am really ready to have the FPN pen join my pen family.

I am equally excited. I am looking forward to the all new EEF Flexy nib that Danitrio is going to offer.

I always feel that the EF Flexy nib still write a little too wide for me. I like mine to be really fine and when the need arises, flex the nib to a nice broad line.

Would be nice to see some writing samples. Is that possible? In fact , is the EEF Flexy nib available right now as we speak?

Who makes the Nib for Danitrio? Is it still BOCK? I believe that most Japanese pen makers make their own nibs.

Cheers,

Ernest

One of the member here, who is too shy to post this, so I am posting it here without permission. LOL. This is her translation to the haiku and I rather like it as the first line also has double meaning which Basho is good at.

Oh Zen Master! :notworthy1: Or is it Ninja Lord? :ninja:

If Kevin doesn't keep us updated, we may be reduced to writing haiku's of pen longing.

Hee... Hee.... Just got another email from Danitrio...

If the tracking is correct, the prototypes will reach Danitrio TOMORROW (Thursday), and they will rush me the pen overnight to reach me by FRIDAY!!!! And I am NOT working Friday, so I get all day to play around with the pens... Oh, sleepless nights begins!!

Jose, no problem, I am charging the battery tonight and my 2GB memory card is ready to go!!! My photos will certainly not be as good as yours, but hopefully I will do these pens justice.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
