I am also a firm YES. Flexy Stub for me. I used to be number two on the list but now I seem to have been moved to number three.

Ah, that fresh ink on paper look!

Thank you all for the responses and will certainly pass on your comments and thanks to Danitrio. I am sure the artist would appreciate the support, and even more incentive to create a beauty.

My apology for slow to respond to PMs... the 5 min time out on PMs is really slowing me down ;-)... thanks to spamers.

Hi Kevin! I definately want one - I'm #58 on your list - but will, at least for now - make the most of your lay away plan as I've just committed to another grail pen............ooh! naughty!

I'll PM you later about this - no rush to reply!

I would like to add my sincere thanks to you and Danitrio and the Artist for this extraordinary show of dedication to customers and DT Lovers on FPN.

Nib - flexy stub please!

Huge hugs

Chris

Thanks Chris. I know about your grail pen. It certainly is a beauty. No problem with layaway, take your time.

Kevin, do we have a time frame for eventual delivery of this pen? The reason I ask it that I may want to take advantage of your layaway but start paying now. If you have an idea then I can start sending you money now so that when the pens arrive, you will have the full $850.

I can't be trusted to keep money myself, I'll just spend it on something else!

I just got an email informing me that Kosetsu san, the artist is so energetic about this project, the prototype will be here between 5/15 to 5/25. Then actual delivery of the pens will be in August. Hope this helps. You can start paying now or later is strickly all up to each individual. I believe in buying new pens should not be stressful, so whatever is comfortable for you is perfectly fine with me.

Best,

Kevin

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
