  1. Is this pen recognised by anyone? Other than the TT emblem, I cannot find anything online. Looking up TT on google brings up the new kickstarter project that has these initials, and this is not made by them. This pen has a rather broad nib. The metal of the tip of the nib is made of the same nib, not like iridium points which is welded. The shape of this point from the side is like a big arc. I thought this pen has a lot of flow, very wet, and perhaps qualifies as broad. The converter is proprietary, it screwes onto the back and seems to hold a large amount of ink, if only you could fill the whole of it with one pull. If you dip the pen in the bottle and pull that thing, you'll hardly get a quarter of the converter filled. Right now I'm using it for..... wait for it... drum roll........ printer ink mixes! If anybody has a name to put on it, something which you didn't make up unless it's very cool, and an opinion of it, then I would like to hear from you.

    Sheaffer Hooded Pen

Hi all, after my first post in the introductions, I would like to say this about myself: I thought I'll never like hooded pens. This pen came in a joblot and never worked. for some reason, it's grown on me and I want it to work. Recently, I was pressing the nib and twisting it left and right (without any noticable movement in the nib or tines) but it suddenly worked, and wrote with a green-ish ink that I know very well I never put in there. The pen has been in my drawers for several years, and God knows how long before that. It wrote a lot, and with a fine point that I now like very much (all of my pens are medium). Now that whatever ink that was in there has run out, it's not taking ink from the cartridge up the feed. The cartridge is what I had in a Sheaffer School/Cartridge pen. The feed feels like some sort of fibre or similar soft material. I looked up and down for this model, its name, its qualities, disassembly, clean up advice, anything really, and have not found a single image online. Can anyone please tell me what this particular model is called? And from there, how to deep-clean it without breaking anything in it? Your help is much appreciated, and I hope this helps someone else as well.
  3. Hello group, My first fountain pen ever was a Diplomant, and I've been trying to find it on google in order to figure out what it is called, so I can maybe buy another one (it broke a long time ago). However the closes picture I could find was this ebay listing: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182391784370?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT The pen I had was all black plastic: barrel was just black plastic without the butt and golden ring. The section looked the same rippled black, also plastic. The nib was golden colour, and the cap was stainless steel. Can anybody help me find out the name of this model so I can google it or look for it in auctions?
