    Parker Victory Mk Iv

Today I got in the mail a Q2 1952 Parker Victory Mk IV. I was looking for a pen made in England and found this pen with Barry Rose at Writetime.co.uk a seller in the UK. I contacted him just before he took a three week trip to New York and he brought the pen with him and shipped it from NY. This will be my 3rd Parker fp. I have a 45 and 61 and I think I like this one the best of the three. The nib is very smooth with a little bit of softness as I'm told the Newhaven Parkers can have. I have it filled with Montblanc made for BMW blue ink. Here are the specs since they can be hard to find: Section 8.8-10.3, 12mm, barrel 119mm, capped 130mm, posted 150mm Pictures http://driften.dragonsightsoftware.com/images/ParkerVictoryMkIV-1.png http://driften.dragonsightsoftware.com/images/ParkerVictoryMkIV-2.png http://driften.dragonsightsoftware.com/images/ParkerVictoryMkIV-3.png http://driften.dragonsightsoftware.com/images/ParkerVictoryMkIV-4.png
  3. One Eagle eyedropper and one Franklin plunger (piston?) filler with very little discoloration. The other is a Parker Victory I'm working on.

Uber Stuck Section - Help Request

Hi all, Got a parker victory a couple weeks ago. Pen looked in fantastic condition but section just will not come off. Took the filler button and bar out of the back. Soaked the section. Ultrasonically cleaned it in water, soaked it in 1% ammonia, then 10%, then ultrasonic cleaned it in full strength as it just wouldn't budge... the above all over four days with drying out in between. I've tried heating the section too with a hair drier but still nothing - am I missing something here? Thanks, Badger

    Victory Af (Iv) Repair Question?

I won a Victory AF (mark IV?) on ebay recently, I knew the pen had a slightly damaged barrel which doesn't bother me (although I may look at ways to repair that at some point), the seller didn't know much about pen but thought everything was complete. The pen arrived this morning as is exactly as described only it's missing the pressure bar, I know this is an easy fix but have no idea what size would fit the pen, can anyone advise me please? http://i62.tinypic.com/25hzcrb.jpg Picture showing the damage to the barrel, I think as some point it may have been a cigarette burn that someone has sanded smooth, it's a small indentation, I may look into a way of either filling it or just matching the colour to hide it a little. http://i61.tinypic.com/2vn4az9.jpg The nib has 20 8 on it, I don't know what size that is as I'm going to soak and clean the pen before trying it, I was surprised to find that the sac is still really supple and I'm tempted to keep it but I'll probably order a new one when I get a pressure bar. The pen looks black in the pictures but it's actually a really dark blue EDIT: I'm currently cleaning the pen and now realise that the damage isn't a sanded smooth burn but actually a filled hole(still possibly a cigarette burn from the size) it looks like it's been filled with wax or something of a similar texture. I've never heard of a repair using wax, if it is I may either use heat to removed it and either find a better way of repairing it or redo it in wax and get a better finish.

    Is This Really A Parker?

An intriguing ebay listing shows a 'Victory' pen, but the word 'Parker' not on it at all. Fascinating stripy transparent section - the barrel and cap are opaque black (looks transparent in the photo, but apparently not). http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271390829720?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 I'm intrigued. Anyone know anything about this? I've looked at Parker Victory pics in the forum and while there's a generic resemblance, this doesn't seem like any of the complete pens. A rarity, or a Frankenpen?
