Dear FPN members, a couple of weeks ago, I bought a BMW fountain pen in an antiques fair. I suppose of course that someone else made the pen for them, but I have no idea who it might have been, because the only logo on the pen is BMW. Although, when you read what follows, you will maybe agree with me that the maker of this pen did not know much about the *very* basic of fountain pens... The pen feels sturdy and the touch of the material is fine. It is also ergonomic. The nib is a B, and it writes very well. I know because I have dipped the pen in water and it is still dirty with ink, so it writes. However, I have no idea how to refill this pen. I have turned, pulled and pushed on both sides and nothing moves. Literally does not move at all. I have no idea whatsoever how to refill this pen. Anyone can help? Thanks in advance. OK, boys and girls, guess if you can: My in-law who is far and away from where I now live found this fountain pen in an old box. He is not very good with technology, but still managed to take some pictures of the pen. Only when he comes visit in December I will be able to look at the thing in person (the pen, not my in-law). Do any of you vintage lovers see any mark that could get me closer to finding out the identity of this pen? I will post more images of it in about 30 days when he visits.

Hello all! So I ran across this pen at Daiso in Korea for 3,000 won. (about $2.50) It looked interesting, and came with cartridges, two nibs (f open & ef covered) and a converter. It looked pretty interesting, like a Lamy Safari knockoff, so I picked it up. The nib seems really nice, but I can't for the life of me figure out what brand it is. The only markings are imprints that say "point&line" on the clip and the nib. I've never heard of a fountain pen brand with that name. I'm not an expert, though, just a casual user. Direct comparison with Lamy Safari. The Safari lid is a lot heavier, and the body of the Daiso pen feels cheaper even though it's the same weight with the cap off. But that's expected, considering. Not pictured, but the converter is almost exactly the same as the Lamy converter. The nib Lines 1 & 3 are the Daiso pen F nib with the native ink cartrige (which I hated) and then with Waterman ink. Line 2 is Preppy w/ cartrige Line 4 is Lamy Safari with Waterman ink in F Line 5 is Hero 170a gold nib in EF This nib is crazy smooth -- smoother than my Lamy or my Preppy. And with a decent ink, it laid down a nice fine line. I really like the pen, considering the price, but I'm really curious as to who made it. Anyone have any ideas?

Hello everyone ! Last week I bought this set of 2 lady fountain pens. The quality of these hooded pistonfillers is quite good, and so it is a big mistery to me that no brandname can be found anywhere. Both pens had their pistons stuck, but a good soak and a swab of sillygone grease worked wonders. On the first 3 pics you can see one of the pens without the hood, On pic 4 you see both pens hooded and uncapped (the pen on the left is inked) and on the 5th pic you can see both pens capped. So anyone who recognise these or has a hunch about their origin, please feel free to speak out. Thanks, Peter

I'm starting this tread, I'm new to the site and the fact I'm new to the site is because being a long time collector of Parker pens, and pens in general, fountain pens, I got a present from a friend. I'm american and I live in france, (because of my wife basically), and I got for my birthday a new pen I haven't seen before, I had no idea: After going here and there in internet (including this blog) I found out that apart from a twitter and a web site, there is no information on 'em. I had to ask my friend where did he bought it, and he did not wanted to say, as I could see the price of the gift... and it was in a small design shop in Paris, that's all. The pen is really nice, and has something that reminds me of the Lamy design, but the construction is like something I haven't seen before, in any of the pens I own. it's a piston filler (although not quite) which makes more difficult the thing as in the web site I couldn't find any piston filler for sale at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, although it said something like "coming soon" I wrote to them, but they said to me that they were only selling that model through design shops, that they are with too much work and they are still a small company, nevertheless, Very strange, for the rest, The pen is a good one, and I'm using it every day. If somebody owns one, please, let me know, I'm planning to buy more of them The name of the thing I have is called something like Venvstas Schreibemeister Aero...........the name sounds german to me, but anyway....apparently it's french, at least I was talking with a guy name Pascal. If somebody knows something, please, I would like to know what do you think of this things.... I can share information as well. thanks! Charly

I just bought this very nice looking fountain pen called Rubin Extra. I have tried to google it, but cannot find anything about it. I guess it's a quite unknown brand, but the pen doesn't look very cheap, and it has a gold nib which says "Rubin Warranted 14 Ct Osmi Iridium", and it is a button filler. (See the photos.) It would be great to know the origin of the pen. Does anyone know? Let me also just say that this is my first post on this amazing forum. I have been reading topics here for quite a while. It's one of the reasons why I have become a fountain pen enthusiast! :-) In Norway, where I live, it's hard to find anyone to share the hobby with, it's not a common hobby at all.
