Converter Search - Cartier Must De Trinity Vermeil
ImprovedMedicare4All posted a topic in Fountain & Dip Pens - First Stop
Am looking for a converter (any brand that will work) for an older Cartier pen - the Must de Trinity Vermeil model. I prefer to use a converter, instead of using the cartridges (that usually refill with a small syringe). The local Cartier shop sent it to their main store, and they could not provide a new converter, or even recommend where to get one, so looking for another converter from Jet Pens or another source, once I can find out what converter will fit this model. Would much appreciate any recommendations. Thank you. About me - For day to day, I like my Pilot Vanishing Point, preference for the medium nib, but have another with fine point that just smoothed using about 6000 grid emory board. Had been given my first vanishing point (Namiki) fountain pen years back, and like worrying less about likelihood of leaking after inadvertent cap opening, as with other pens. May everyone have a much better 2018 than 2017! -
Hello, All! My daughter will be 8 next month and she wants an Edison pen in Hawaiian (Unicorn Barf). She does use fountain pens and while I understand wanting a pen, I can't seem to justify a $150+ pen purchase for an 8-year old. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good, less expensive alternative? I looked at the Noodler's Konrad pens, but none of the colors were right. Thanks if advance for your help!

Having tried, and failed, many times to purchase Bungbox sweet potato purple (and never having used it) I'm wondering if there might be an ink out there that is in any way close to it? I'm not a fan of bluish purples but I do like purples of a deeper red hue and this one seemed to hit the right spot for me. I've tried a few sources, missed out on the Vanness selling and ebay man from Japan has tried to locate it for me on two occasions now without any success. I feel I have know hyped it up so much in my own mind that it will likely be a huge disappointment!

Another Edelstein substitute thread... Topaz has recently come to my attention and I really like the wonderful colour of this ink. However I am torn on getting another bottle, I think it is rather expensive. Any ideas on how to find a suitable substitute? About the same colour, same level of wetness or wetter. I would prefer to stay within the Pelikan or Lamy lines (so 4001 or Lamy turquise probably, how does that behave in comparison to the Edelstein Topaz) or R&K (Blumare, Smaragdgrün?) Any ideas appreciated. thanks
