  1. Recently acquired this lovely silver pen and would like more information about the model. I have not found any information about Stylomine pens that were lever fillers. Any background about this model would be greatly appreciated. Nib reads J.M.P. ,18 Cts, UNIS.FRANCE. There is a hallmark on the lever and on the lower end of the barrel that looks like AYL, but I can't be sure. Also two marks on the cap that could be an animal head, but I can't make out what they are. Pen is just over 4 inches or 103mm long capped.
  2. I found this pen on ebay and I'd never seen anything like it. So of course I had to have it if nothing else than to try to figure it out. The nib seems quite odd to me especially for the brand. It kind of looks like it's semi-hooded? It says Stylomine 303 on its barrel but I've never seen a Stylomine pen that looks like this. Ive swen hooded Stylomines but they don't resemble this pen much as far as I can tell. I was thinking it may be a knockoff but Stylomine is a rather obscure brand for that. Otherwise, it may be a later model near the end of the company? Can anyone identify it? It was listed as NOS but I don't know if that's accurate or not. Either way, it's just an interesting pen in my opinion.
  3. I present this little beauty in its classic vintage box. I was super lucky to find this on eBay! Now if only I could find a matching Mastodonte.
  4. Recently I received a Bayard Souverain cartridge fountain pen, made in France probably in the 1970s. It has a nice 18-carat nib with a good amount of flex. I wanted to get it back in service. After exhausting my supply of various makes of cartridges an internet search and French pen blogs indicated pens made by Bayard, Unic and Stylomine use a ‘BUS 5’ cartridge (BUS = Bayard, Unic, Stylomine). The BUS 5 is no longer manufactured. Fortunately my local pen store (Bromfield Pen Shop) came up with a solution. After a number of tries the answer is to use S. T. Dupont propriety ink cartridges. It stands to reason as Dupont is based in France. The fit is initially a bit tight but the Dupont cartridge works well and stays in place. The ink flow is what one would expect and want. I’d be interested in hearing if anyone knows of other cartridges that might fit -- one similar in dimensions to the S. T. Dupont but only slightly larger around the interior neck opening pierced by the section. Here are some photos of the Dupont cartridge and the Bayard Souverain.
  5. I unexpectedly got some pens parts in the mail today (several days early. Thanks Goulet!) and proceeded to form my newest creation: a Stylomine 303 with working accordian sac, a Nemosine 0.8 mm reentry nib, and a Noodler's Ahab feed. It works! Now all I need to do is find a breather tube that fits so that its ink capacity can be maximum!
  6. The nib and feed on one of my Stylomine 303s have significant damage and I need to remove them to get a better look at and potentially replace them. However, I can't seem to get them to come out. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? They are stuck pretty firmly in place. Thanks!
  7. So I just got this itty bitty Stylomine 303 in the mail today. I didn't realize it was going to be this tiny when I purchased it but I think I'm in love. It's so cute next to my big 303. It has a fine gold nib. Unlike my big one, both nib and feed are completely undamaged. But the real draw is the accordian sac. It works beautifully! I am curious if anyone can identify the specific 303 models of these two. I haven't been able to find an exact visual match online. The closest I've found to the big one is the 303D but it still looks a little different. I haven't even seen any pictures of a mini before.

    Stylomine Question

Has anyone ever seen a Stylomine with the wheat engraving on the clip? I see it in lots of old advertisements but I didn't think it was a real thing until I found a timeline stating a date it was introduced. Did they actually introduce this? I've been scouring the internet but I haven't been able to find any more information or even any actual pictures of the pen. Also does anyone know if there is a fairly complete list of the various models and descriptions/pictures? Thanks!
