  1. I have a decent collection of the striped WEAREVER PACEMAKER pens, pictured below. I have 10 of the FPs and one mechanical pencil (2nd from left). I've collected this pen so far in four different colors. PenHero has covered Wearever pens quite extensively in other topics in the Other North American pens section, and has provided us with wonderful, professionally made photos, so I won't go over well-covered territory here. I've just provided various photos of my collection for what they are worth to you. My ultimate purpose here is to discuss a common repair issue with these pens -- the cr

    Pelikan Pen "stripes"

Anyone know how the stripes are created in the Pelikan Souveran line up? Is it just a metallic paint? Are there any precious materials in the composition? Is the process different for the fountain pen vs the ballpoint or rollerball? I've got a green straited M400 and M600, a tortoise M400 and K400, and a blue straited K400. Would love to know more about how these pens are made. I'm sure I've seen this information somewhere, but I can't recall it.

When I turn the piston knob I can feel a bit of resistance and then it just skips. But the piston itself never moves. In my country there are no nibmeisters or FP repair services since fountain pens, unfortunately died out in this country a long time ago. I have not found a way to disassemble it so far. I can't take out the nib, or the piston. I am suspecting that the connection between the piston knob and the pis

    Places For Striped Duofolds

Hi everyone! I'm in the market for a nice Senior sized striped duofold. I'm particularly interested in the blue pearl version! Are there any places in Australia who may have a nice one of these? Or anywhere great in the states or other overseas areas? I have been waiting for a reasonable one on ebay but no luck. I can't quite post a WTB yet here, but will once I hit that (30) mark. Lastly, what price are we looking at if we're being fair? Thank you so much!
