Hello all, I have been bitten by the "shading" bug! The Pilot Custom Urushi brings out the shading of ink beautifully with the Lamy Crystal Amazonite. I am looking for other such inks which bring out beautiful shading. Any recommendations? Is there any specific trait of inks which brings out better shading? I am wondering for example, if less lubricated inks shade better?

Hello FPNers, I’m a huge fan of shading inks but dislike sheening inks. In the blue-teal-green spectrum (and nowhere else), can you recommend high shading inks that have no sheen? My current champion blue is Colorverse Supernova and my current champion green is Diamine November Rain. But there have to be more! Again, only in the blue-teal-green spectrum. Thanks! Gary

Here's a nice, heavily shading ink from Private Reserve that I enjoyed reviewing. However, I still think Apache Sunset—more saturated, even heavier shading—is the better orangey/yellowy ink. Apache Sunset is the benchmark by which all other shade-heavy orange/yellow inks are judged. Still though, Shoreline Gold is a great ink most definitely worth a try. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/xq90/547/rd75.jpg Please remember to vote on this ink in the poll!
