  1. I finally got my 51(yay!) However, the pen was damaged during transist and there was a deep scratch on barrel which I removed using 1500 grit wet sand paper (read from a forum here) and now I have to remove microscratches from barrel and small scratch|es on cap.Can simichrome be used? And from where can I find replacements (s.s or lustraloy) caps? Thanks

    Montblanc Leather Pouch Question

Hi, I'm getting a Montblanc Meisterstück Classique pen in either gold or platinum (can't decide!) and would be grateful for any advice regarding my concerns with Montblanc's leather pouches. I already have a Montblanc Meisterstück 1 pen leather pouch but having read through some threads on this site I'm concerned about the risk of scratching the pen (especially as the 'precious resin' appears to be vulnerable to surface marks) and possible long-term corrosion to the gold plated parts such as the clip caused by the chrome tanned leather. I checked Montblanc's website which does not disclose

    Starwalker Extreme Cap Scratch

Hi, Today, I had a little accident with my Starwalker Extreme Rollerball. With no reason, I rubbed the cap on a sheet of paper: clonclusion: the cap have now a scratch that incomodate me. I'd like to know if there is a way to remove the scratch. http://puu.sh/hwmk2/2b5ccd7e6d.png Regards, Bruno.

    Scratched Nib

I was working on making my Sheaffer touchdown 14k and Platinum/Palladium 2 tone nib a little wetter. In the process I got a couple scratches on what before was a fairly pristine nib when the feeler guage I was using slipped out and skidded acrossed one tine. Just big enough to see with the eye. It did not effect the gold section. Being that this nib is only plated is it even possible to buff scratches out of such a nib?
