Hi, I have an old Pilot VP faceted form the nineties. It's an amazing pen but it always had a tendency to run dry when left unused, even for a few hours. I always thought it had something to do with the pen not closing correctly. A while ago, I found on Richard Binder's site a tip to fix the precise problem: switch the piston converter that came with the pen for a CON-20 squeeze converter (apparently it allows for the nib section to fully retract and avoids the drying issue). I just received the converter, and it doesn't even fit... :-( It seems to be slightly wider than the converter that came with the pen. Anybody knows what i'm doing wrong? Is there a way to fix the drying issue on these pens?
