  1. Let me start of by saying..... I LOVE this pen. You may think that the Kakuno is a child's pen but honestly? It writes amazing! So smooth and wet that it is perfect for a beginner and seasoned as well. All around pleasure to write with! If you don't want to write with it in public (i.e. Its childish looks) at 14$? Get one for home! No start up issues even without flushing. Right out of the box its ready to write. Id suggest a pilot CON-50 converter and bottled ink (sold separate) if you want lots of color options (why not? 😁) and if not you can get refill pilot cartridges on amazon .com or j
  2. Hello, I was just wondering if it’s just me or do you guys have a specific pen for a specific notebook? This ink color for this pen color only? I use my pilot kakunos (M,F,EF) with colors black, gris nuage, diamine grey, respectively, for my midori notebook journal. My kawecosport (BB) in the shade earl grey for midori everyday journal. 2 Kawecosport (EF) using Vinta in the shade perya and ubi for midori and rhodia notes. Kaweco perkeo (M) using smokey grey for random scribbles and midori travel journal. Am I the only one? Lol
  3. The Lamy Safari is arguably the most significant fountain pen currently in production. Its popularity is immense, and if you go to any thread even remotely about beginner pens you’ll see its name, or at least the name of its twin the Vista or older brothers the Al-Star or LX. Although it now has its rivals, the Pilot Metropolitan and, to a lesser extent, the TWSBI Eco, the Safari will always hold a special place in the fountain pen world, and was the first fountain pen for countless new enthusiasts. However, this popularity doesn’t bring only good effects. Like any popular pen, or popular i
  4. Do you like Wing Sung 698's design but hate their nib? do Wing Sung 698 write a little dry for your taste? no problem.. just get yourself a Pilot Kakuno... the nib and feed fit perfectly to Wing Sung 698's section.. Just something I discover while playing with my Pilot Kakuno and Wing Sung.. yeah sure, if you brought Wing Sung 698 and Pilot Kakuno, you might as well get yourself a Twibi Eco.. but still the option is there if you wants to upgrade your Wing Sung 698.
  5. Hello there, I wondering if anyone has the pilot kakuno/pilot metro and has good ink for it. Preferably blue or black. I am a student in high school, so the ink should not feather or bleed through as much. In addition, faster drying times would be appreciated, although that would depend the writing surface.

    Pilot Kakuno Cap Issue

I've just gotten a Pilot Kakuno fountain pen. About the first thing I noticed was that there are three holes in the top of the cap. They're designed to be there. I'm concerned that these will pretty rapidly dry out the ink in the nib and feed, as I've had happen with other pens with airy caps. Has anyone found a good way to plug up these holes?
  7. I have a pastel blue Pilot Kakuno, which as you can see I've decorated with vomit-inducing stickers of joy and sparkles. While I do have and use more elegant-looking pens, privately I prefer the cute style and bright colors of my Kakuno. I am thinking of getting another pen to join my lonesome blue one, but most of the pens I see are gorgeous and elegant instead of cute. Does anyone have any suggestions? http://i.imgur.com/MTYgcPx.jpg?3
