  1. About a week ago I commissioned a custom pen wrap from Pentaloons. She does amazing, high-quality work. I loved browsing her store to see all the fabric options. She's got an eye for goood fabric combinations! I had all sorts of demands-- 10 slots, contrasting tie, monogram in the same color as the tie, and which way the herringbone fabric chevrons pointed. She always got back to me quickly, let me know what options were available, checked in to make sure she had what I wanted correct, and showed me multiple combinations that I might like. She was very professional to work with. She finished my wrap within 24 hours of finalizing details, and it arrived a few days later. I was out of town, so I've had to wait to see it! Everything came out perfectly, just as I described to her. Here are some photos showcasing her craftsmanship. Dimensions: 22.5" long by 7" wide (13" wide with flap open). Pockets are approximately 2.75" wide. http://i.imgur.com/8t99zBd.jpg http://i.imgur.com/f29VvoT.jpg http://i.imgur.com/YK0tgmO.jpg http://i.imgur.com/UvQC0mE.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Y9m3p2z.jpg Pens, left to right: no-name 1930's celluloid, Nemosine Singularity, Jinhao X750, Pilot Knight, Pilot Custom 74, Parker Vacumatic, Lamy Al-Star Black Purple, Lamy Al-Star Aluminum http://i.imgur.com/k4iB5EI.jpg http://i.imgur.com/iKAtebw.jpg Pentaloons is going on my list of preferred vendors. I'll be certain to take a look for storage options as my collection grows, or if I need a gift for a pen friend. (I am not affiliated in any way withe Pentaloons. I paid for everything myself and am just a very happy customer!)
  2. Pentaloons Luxury Pen Wraps is now offering "Penties." single pen snap purses made of the same luxury fabrics as their wraps. http://www.etsy.com/shop/Pentaloons?ref=hdr_shop_menu&section_id=20669504" Why forfeit luxury for your pens when they are on the go? Thanks for looking.

    Taccia 8 Kimono Pen Wrap

Do you know where I can purchase a Taccia 8 Kimono Pen wrap? Specifically the designs which have black as their primary colors? I'll provide a picture of one of them. Nibs.com have them, but the ones I am interested are sold out. I do not want blue. Are they still being sold? I believe the one pen wraps or five pens but need the 8 pen edition.
  4. I found this pen roll on eBay and Amazon for between $2-3 including shipping! I would not use it for really expensive pens (since they would rub together), but it is great for inexpensive ones. Check it out! http://thefrugalfountainpen.blogspot.com/2014/05/pen-roll-for-2-3.html
  5. ...aside from pens, of course? While I'm in school, I'll be relying on my trusty sewing machine and my serger to help supplement the household income (and provide funding for pen-related goodies), and one of the things I was thinking of adding to my list of stock items was a pen roll. I could make them custom-sized to fit a person's collection and particular pens, not to mention color preferences, but I was wondering what sorts of special things would people like to see in a roll? Would you want pockets in the roll, or just loops of elastic to hold the pens? Would you like to see little extra pocket or pouch attached for maybe extra nibs or ink sample bottles? How about a pocket for a...pocket-sized notebook? Would you prefer a loop-and-button style closure, or a wrapping cord? Some of the details I've already decided on are: lining the roll and the pockets with polarfleece for safety and cushioning, and adding a covering flap to the top inside (and one on the bottom as well for elastic looped rolls) to help keep things in the roll. Please post here or via PM with your ideas and suggestions, and thank you in advance!
