  1. Back to our regular spot for another posse meet. Last Sunday, people were looking for Todd (who's not on FB). Also... there may or may not be a visitor from out of town. We will either be in the back area or the small party room. Just ask where the "Pen People" are. 😃 10 El Camino Real, Millbrae, CA 94030 Sunday - April 3 at 1:00pm The mask mandates may have been lifted, however, we request for anyone attending to wear a mask for everyone's safety and comfort. Thank you and see you there!
  2. A change of venue for the SF Pen Posse next week! Cheryl was kind enough to reserve and host a meetup space for us at the San Francisco Center for the Book (SFCB). The SFCB has their own parking lot, and there are lots of street parking too. Per Google Maps, there are quite a few food spots within 1 to 2 blocks as well. San Francisco Center for the Book 375 Rhode Island St, San Francisco, CA 94103 Sunday - March 20 at 11:00am-4:00pm *** Per the SFCB website, they will continue to require that all students, instructors, and visitors wear a well-fitting mask (no bandanas or gaiters) while in the Center. *** We do request that for anyone attending to wear a mask for everyone's safety and comfort. See you there!
  3. A few posse members attended the LA Pen Show, and have called for a posse meet at Peter's Cafe in Millbrae. 10 El Camino Real, Millbrae, CA 94030 Sunday - February 27 at 1:00pm For first-time attendees, we will either be in the private party room or the back area. When you enter Peter's, just ask where the "Pen People" are. =) As of February 16, the County of San Mateo has lifted the mask mandate. However, we request for anyone attending to wear a mask for everyone's safety and comfort. Thank you and see you soon!
  4. Time for another pen posse! Same meeting spot at the Hillsdale Shopping Center food court. Please wear face masks as it helps to keep each other safe. Also, please stay home if you feel sick. The tables between Uncle Tetsu and Blue Whale Poke Bar is a spacious area to be at while spying for outside tables. Sunday, October 17 1:00-4:00pm Hillsdale Shopping Center - Food Court 60 31st Ave, San Mateo, CA 94403
  5. It will be two weeks after the San Francisco Pen Show, let’s meet up and share our finds and experiences! More importantly, let’s have a good ol’ pen posse meet! It’s been a while too. The food court at the Hillsdale Mall is nice and roomy (as long as it’s not crowded by other people). Let’s meet up at the long tables next to the windows, which I believe is near “Uncle Tetsu”. If there’s availability, we could probably move to the outdoor seating area. Please wear face masks as it is a county requirement and it helps to keep each other safe. Also if you feel sick, please stay home. Sunday, September 12 1:00-4:00pm Hillsdale Shopping Center - Food Court near "Uncle Tetsu" 60 31st Ave, San Mateo, CA 94403
  6. Ok, miss my pen friends! Is it time yet for Pen Posses? Pen get togethers?
  7. A posse has just been called today. =) 1:00pm, March 24, Sunday Peter's Cafe 10 El Camino Real Millbrae CA 94030
  8. The first Posse of the new year. We might also have a fountain pen book author join the meet up. January 6, 2019, 1:00pm Peter's Cafe 10 El Camino Real, Millbrae, CA 94030
  9. Show and tell your favorite pens acquired for the year, or not. =) Its a posse, need we say more? Sunday, 1:00pm, December 16, 2018 Peters Cafe 10 El Camino Real, Millbrae, CA 94030
  10. Pen Posse meet up just because. December 9, 2018, 1:00pm Peter's Cafe 10 El Camino Real, Millbrae, CA 94030
  11. It is a short notice posse. We have a visitor from HK so this posse is tomorrow, Saturday. June 30, 2018 1:00pm Peters Cafe 10 El Camino Real, Millbrae, CA 94030 See you there!
  12. This posse was called a few days ago on the FaceBook group. Just transmitting out information however late it may be. =) Pen Posse: Todd Sells Jinhao Edition Todd is now going to push Chinese pens. A sight to behold. Peter's Cafe 10 El Camino Real, Millbrae, CA 94030 1:00pm, June 24, 2018
  13. Copied from the announcement by AltecGreen at fpgeeks: Sunday Oct. 13th. 1:00 pm Peter's Cafe 10 El Camino Real Millbrae, CA 94030 Added by myself: Something for me to get excited about. I have a new-old-stock Montblanc twist piston converter of the push-fit type, no longer used for new MB pens but just the thing for older c/c MB pens, such as the Noblesse I used to own. Would like to offload it to someone who uses an older c/c Montblanc or some other pen this converter fits. In the interest of trading, mutual exploitation, the helping economy, I wonder if I might trade it for something of equal value, such as a Parker, Aurora, or Waterman converter, any of which would fit pens I use, or a green Cross push-fit converter, ditto.
  14. The next gathering of the Central California Pen Posse will occur Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 3 pm. We will meet, as usual, at La Boulangerie in Figarden Village in Fresno. New attendees are welcome! David
  15. Karas Kustoms

    Az Pen Meet Up

Join us Saturday, October 22nd, 2016, 6-9 pm, for the first Karas Pen Co sponsored Arizona Pen Meetup. The event will be held at the Karas Kustoms shop (126 S. Country Club Dr, Mesa, AZ 85210, on the northwest corner of Country Club and Dana ). We will have the full line of Karas Pen Co pens available to sample as well as any other pens hanging out around the shop. Tables will be set up to easily share pens, chat about all things writing, and generally as a way to foster the Arizona Pen Community. A brief tour of the shop will take place shortly after 6 pm. Afterwards we invite everyone to sit down, ask questions, try out pens, and enjoy an evening with like-minded pen enthusiasts. Beverages and snacks will be provided. Parking is available along Dana on the side of the shop. RSVP HERE *The shop will not be selling any items during the meet up, rather we are hoping to foster a sense of community and a place to meet for pen lovers in Arizona. We hope to bring together like-minded individuals and allow them to meet in a centralized location so that they can share pens, inks, paper, and stories without the need to reserve a room or building or open their own home. No purchase is required and though we will have our own pens available to write with we will have a large selection of other pens available to write with as well.*
  16. A group of fountain pen enthusiasts has been meeting monthly in Fresno at La Boulangerie in Figarden Village. Our next gathering is May 22 at 3 pm. Anyone in the area and interesting in joining us is encouraged to do so. David
  17. I stopped into a local thrift store a few times over the last week and picked up some nice ink. The Parker Super Quink Permanent Turquoise came new in the box in the Blue Diamond bottle and just cost me $1 on Friday. I picked up the rest of it all today for $11 and all are full bottles. Included were Parker Penman Ebony, Waterman Blue Black and Havana, and a bottle each of Mont Blanc Blue and Black. Nice finds and no repeats at a good price. No pen finds this time and the only regret was that the Parker Penman ink wasn't Sapphire Blue. It's the same shop where I found my Parker T1 and 51 pens and some other assorted finds. I'll have to meet up wth the Pen Posse to show them off some day.
  18. WHAT: Colorado Pen Posse Meeting and “Pen Show After Party" WHEN: Saturday, November 14th, 2015, 1:00PM-3:00PM WHERE: Still Cellares (1115 Colorado Avenue #C Longmont, Colorado 80501 (720) 204-6064) The next Pen Posse meeting is the annual "after party” meeting and is taking place 11/14/15 from 1-3PM @ Still Cellars in Longmont (https://www.stillcellars.com)! Our hosts Jason & Sadye will be pouring hand made spirits, sodas and coffee drinks during the party and while they don't serve food, you are welcome to bring whatever food you like. While we are talking about stuff to bring, bring all of the goodies you got at the show, goodies you’ve got since the show and this year, we are bringing lights so we can all see them better! Feel free to bring your favorite form of light producing device! Table lamp, floor lamp, heck, bring shop lights if they are portable! Oh, and if you bring some pics (on CD or usb) we can have a slide show. Remember, you can see this meeting notice and more at the PenPosse Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/coloradopenposse), you don’t even need a Facebook page to view it!
  19. Farmboy needs to go to the Capital (Sacramento). Altec Green has been asked to call a special Pen Posse to commemorate the event. Details will follow.
  20. The next gathering of the Central California Pen Posse will take place on Sunday, November 1, 20015 at 3:00pm on the patio of La Boulangerie in Figarden Village in Fresno. I'm looking forward to seeing Mardi's Sheaffers and, hopefully, learning how to tell them apart! In exchange, I will try to convince Mardi that Waterman made some really, really cool pens. The agenda is otherwise open. David
  21. The Central California Pen Posse held its inaugural meeting this afternoon on the patio of La Boulangerie in Figarden Village, Fresno. It being a holiday weekend, the thousands of .... well, six ...potential members could not all attend. The three of us who did gather had a pleasant time sharing some of our newest and/or most interesting pens and discussing pen shows, pens, inks, nibs and paper. There is a general consensus that we should try to get together at least monthly. This being a participatory democracy (by imperial decree), a poll will determine the time, place, format and frequency of future meetings. Or not. Anyone who would like to be added to a list for message distribution, please reply to this topic or PM me. I will add those FPN members who have expressed interest in a Central California Group in response to a previous query by rpsyed. Happy writing! David

  23. What do you think gentle people? Would you like to combine fine sushi, beer, sake, ink, pens, paper and fascinating Vegas people? Well I'm in and I believe Ms Amberlea just might be coaxed into coming. This would be the fourth time, I think, but it's usually only us, but I hope it gets much larger! I'm planning to be at the Consumer Electronics Show from 01.08.2015-01.09.2015 (Thurs-Fri) we can do a dinner Thurs through Saturday and I'll get us a Tatami Room at Osaka on West Sahara, home of Japanese Lasagne. I have lots of Circa stuff, if you want to sample, all the Iro inks, all the Edelstein inks, Sailor Inks, Waterman, Lots of Amber's samples from PW Akkerman. I'll also raffle off a nice Levenger freebie pen. So does this sound interesting
  24. There is currently no group for those of us in the Sacramento area who love fountain pens, so let's create our own group! I think first we need to figure how many folks are in the area that would be interested in meeting. Then we can select a date, time and location to meet. I don't mind helping organize some of the details; but I would just love to hear feedback from those of you who live in the area and would be interested in getting together. If anyone is interested in being involved in a FPN group here in Sacramento please let us hear your thoughts!
