  1. Hi, I have got two old Cross classic century gold fountain pens from my father. I'm not sure about the age. They are marked: 1/20 10KT GOLD FILLED with 14KT M nibs. They have problems with ink flow, dryness and scraping. The pens have now been cleaned in water for over 24 hours. No more ink is coming out. But, I have problems removing the nibs for further cleaning and adjustments. Is it possible to remove them at all or are they fixed? They are not moving at all when pulled. I'm trying with a rubber band between my fingers for better grip, but no :-( Hope you have som good solutions for me :-)

    New Pilot Prera!...and A Question

I just received my new Pilot Prera in the mail. It has a medium nib. My Pilot Metropolitan has a fine nib. Noobie question - how best to swap? Also, will doing so lead to some unnecessary wear on materials (feed, etc.)?
  3. Hello! I would like to exchange the JoWo nib unit on my ASA Nauka with another different JoWo nib unit (of the same size), but I have been neither able to unscrew it from the pen section nor pull out the nib & feed from it. Please, does anyone know whether it's possible or not? And, if possible, how should I do it? I understand that JoWo units are screwed on the pen section, so I have tried to unscrew it... but I have exerted quite a force without it moving any millimetre! It seems to be glued or "fused" to the section... Thank you!

Using A Twsbi 540 Nib To Another Pen

Hi, I used to have a TWSBI Diamond 540. However, a friend of mine lost my pen so now I have a spare 1.1 italic nib unit of Diamond 540 (the old nib unit, I guess it was Bock, right?) Since I really like the nib of TWSBI, I want using it in another pen if possible. Do you think it fits for another fountain pen? Thank you in advance!
