  1. Hey everyone, I am planning to buy a Pilot MR in Greece. One seller told me that european MRs (Metropolitan) have only M nib and the international cartridge system. Another one told me that I can order MR in F nib as they are not available at this point in his store. I am seeking the truth! I'm afraid that I will buy a F MR but the cartridges will be the Pilot's propietary ones. What's the truth about european MRs and nib sizes?

    Silver Pilot Mr In Europe

Hello! I'm new to this forum and glad i found it. I was given a beautiful black Pilot Metropolitan a while back, but during a class it feel straight on the tip, bending it completely, and i have deduced from the internet that the most economical choice is just to buy a new Metropolitan. I'm not particulary fond of animal skin or retro pop designs, but those seem to be most readily available. My question is, where could i find a silver Pilot MR/Metropolitan (the one without animal skin or dots) in Europe? Does it even sell in Europe? Thank you for your responses, happy holidays!
  3. Hello Everybody I have recently gotten a Pilot MR (The European Version) and Its a great pen, however, I cannot seem to be able to find a converter for it only accepts standard international converters. I have read that I could use a Pelikan Standard International Converter however I also read that it fits very loosely into the pen. Are there any converters that actually fit into this pen? Please help me and thanks for reading

    Kakuno Nib Swap

Are the nibs on the Pilot Kakuno swappable with the other cheaper pilot pens that all swap nibs (Metropolitan, 78g, Penmanship, Plumix, etc.)? The smiles on the Kakuno nibs make me unsure, as none of the others have them, but if they are I would love to put one of the smile nibs on my Prera! Thanks, Phillieskjk
  6. I have been surfing the internet regarding the Pilot Metropolitan. I understand that the Metropolitan use proprietary cartridges and converters. Additional surfing mentioned that the MR takes international converter and cartridges. Amazon has an MR animal at a very reasonable price including a converter and 1 cartridge. However the description mentions that the pen takes a Pilot or Namiki cartridge. I have quite a few international cartridges and would prefer the pen accept the international cartridges. I was wondering if the description may be incorrect or if Pilot makes the MR for their own cartridges?

    Problem With Pilot Mr

I went for a walk today, got cold, walked into a stationary store to warm up, and walked out with one 20EUR bill less, and one fountain pen (a Pilot MR) more. I got home, eager to try my new pen. I tried to fit in a Faber-Castell converter, and it didn't fit. Then I tried a Jinhao converter, and that didn't fit either. Somewhat exasperated (isn't this thing supposed to take standard international converters?), I finally tried the cartridge that came with the pen, and that didn't fit either. So... I took a good look at the pen, and saw a protruding piece of plastic sticking out of the wall of the thingy (I'm sure there's an actual name for this...) that a cartidge or a converter is supposed to fit around. I tried to remove it with tweezers, but I didn't succeed. Any other ideas? I should also say that the stationary store that I got this from is one of those tiny places that don't even give you a receipt unless you ask for it. I didn't ask (alas). So there's no way to return this. Essentially, I'm either going to fix it myself, or absorb the 20EUR loss...
