With International Fountain Pen Day around the corner, I've decided it's high time there is a pen group here in Berlin. I've searched the forum here on FPN with out finding anything. I haven't searched the German forums. If there are German-speaking clubs that meet regularly that I'm unaware of, I'm obviously grateful for any pointers. But being English, I would love to meet others living in, or visiting Berlin that don't speak only German. It would be good if language wasn't limited too much. So, who's interested in getting together on Friday 6th November to share pens, inks, stories, advice and just general relaxed chit-chat? I've not got an exact location in mind just yet, it will depend a little on how many are interested. Location suggestions are as welcome as interest in meeting.

Does anyone know the date, time, and location (in the Marriott Fairview Park) of the Black Pen Society meeting at the DC Show? Thanks!

An opportunity for local pen clubs: The purpose of the Pen Collectors of America is to promote interest in and education about writing instruments and writing. Because the PCA believes that the activities of local pen clubs further this purpose we offer the opportunity for local groups to inform the readers of PCA media about their existence. The criteria for inclusion in the PCA listing of local pen clubs include the willingness of a member or members to be identified as the clubs contact, provision of the contacts email address for the listing, and that the club meet with some regularity. Website, social media, and telephone information can also be included. Please send requests for inclusion to: communications@pencollectorsofamerica.com. In addition, Laura Chandler, the new editor of the Pennant, the PCAs print publication, would like to run a series of feature articles on local clubs and their activities. If your club has an interesting meeting place, a unique focus, or other characteristic that would be of interest to the pen community, please consider contacting Laura at chandler.editor@gmail.com to discuss article possibilities, or submit a draft to the same address.

Just a reminder our next meeting will be Monday August 8th, 2016 at Murray’s house from 7-9pm. Our topic this month is celluloid pens – bring your favourite celluloid pens, whether they are workhorse Parker vacumatics or rare Tibaldi treasures. Our secondary topic/s continue to be new acquisitions of pens, paper, inks, seals, ephemera etc. Come on out for a coffee and some pen talk. Are there any pen clubs or meetings in Peoria, IL? If not, anyone interested in forming one?

There is currently no group for those of us in the Sacramento area who love fountain pens, so let's create our own group! I think first we need to figure how many folks are in the area that would be interested in meeting. Then we can select a date, time and location to meet. I don't mind helping organize some of the details; but I would just love to hear feedback from those of you who live in the area and would be interested in getting together. If anyone is interested in being involved in a FPN group here in Sacramento please let us hear your thoughts!
