  1. It is not that strange for me to find myself to be irrationally attracted by what I tried firstly, even after recognized that the first choice actually does not fit perfectly to my taste. My first serious fountain pen was Visconti Opera Master Black Guilloche with 14k gold fine nib. I thought it was a great pen, but it did not took so much time to feel that the pen was a bit heavy for me. So I tried Montblanc, Aurora, etc., but.. I kept attracted by Visconti, irrationally.   2. Yesterday after UPS taking a week for my pen to travel across the country I finally got my Visconti Medici Midi with Medium nib. I was blown away by the looks. It's very similar in size to my Pelikan M605 that I enjoy. The nib wrote perfectly out of the box with a 0.65mm line width. That is the same width as my Pelikan M805's M nib. It's a very smooth and wet writer without being a gusher. It's just the way I like it. I did have to wash the converter to get it to flow properly but I had to do that with each of the Visconti converters I have. They all flowed perfectly after that. It seems every
  3. So everyone knows about the changes with Visconti this year, but do you feel like they are on the right track with some of the actual pen changes too? The new Il Magnifico is super weighty and just seems to be a much more solid/sturdy pen all around (solid sterling silver cap, Italian red marble body), etc. This is one new piece that makes me think they are heading in a positive direction.
