I was at the flea market and came across this pen. I wasn't sure what I had but knew the Yellow Duofolds were highly collectable. I was in a situation where I did not have my glasses or loop on me but with the cheap price I grabbed it up. I returned to the car thinking I had the Holy Grail only to find the pen is actually not a Parker but the Cap of course is. The seller said he had just bought it from an estate where the lady was in here late 80's so I think it was probably mis matched long ago. The cap appears to be in good shape with no cracks to the lip with only a bit of brassing. I have read that the caps for these are hard to find. I know someone who has the pen but needs the cap to complete it. Before I offer it to him I have a couple of questions. 1. Is this a Parker Duofold Senior Cap? (I have a photo with a P51 and a Pelikan 100n for reference). 2. Is this considered to be in good, fair, or poor condition? (no cracks, scratches, bite marks, etc...) 3. What is the value of the Cap? I can't seem to see any sales history on the web to compare it to. I had originally thought of offering it to someone as trade for some repairs I need on a few pens that are beyond my repair skills but would like to help out a fellow collector so I need to know what I have and what it is a good asking price. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
