Help Identifying Waterman Pen, Pencil And Ballpoint Set, Man 100 Or Not?
WhitefieldME posted a topic in Waterman
I recently acquired a nice set of Waterman products in a Waterman pouch. I know the fountain pen is a Waterman MAN 100, but wonder if the pencil and ballpoint accompanying the fountain pen are also MAN 100. The ballpoint and pencil are both slightly smaller than the fountain pen and the pencil has a black background with a gold W on the cap end, while the fountain pen and the ballpoint have a gold background with a black W. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. -
Hello, I need to replace the feed on my Man 100; the feed is engraved "L 35" and it's paired to a 2B nib. Anyone have one laying around? I'll buy it Please send me a PM or reply to this post, whichever is easier. If I am somehow braking the forum rules, kindly point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

The Waterman Man 100 has been a favorite of mine ever since it came out in the 80's. Even though it is not as popular as the Montblanc's, I think it can more than hold its own. Recently I came across this version: The SPECIMEN model for the solid gold pen. Never used and with all the packaging that came with it when the shop originally bought it. Waterman really made an effort to make this SPECIMEN pen a true representation of their solid gold pen as the box and all the documents are exactly the same as for the solid gold pen. To make a vermeil pen just as a shop model shows what a great company Waterman is. After being stored in a cupboard for 25 years it was tarnished due the silver underneath the gold plating, but a quick rub with a cleaning cloth quickly revealed its original splendor.

I saw this section offered. I'm sure have never seen a Man section with plastic threads. The only 18k nib section with plastic threads I can think of are on the smaller pens (Exec/Exclusive/Lady, and facetted/torsade). This has a correct #6 nib, but is this a correct section?

I recently picked up a NOS Fontainbleau Man 100 in Havana Brown from a shop in Kralingen while visiting. The pen is a wonderful writer when dipped, but I discovered on my return to the states the there is a problem with the feed taking ink from the converter to the nib. Specifically, it doesn't do so unless forced. The pen will draw ink from a bottle, so the feed is not totally blocked. But the pen won't write unless I force ink into it by twisting the converter. Then, once the ink from the twist is used up, the pen stops writing again. I tried repeatedly flushing the feed with a syringe and water doe travel through the feed, so it is not totally blocked. I also soaked the feed overnight in a water/detergent mixture. Today it is soaking in a water/ammonia mixture. What can I do to fix this? Please help!
