I'm looking to get my first pen! (forgive me if I'm in the wrong area) would love to get some perspective from you all. here is my wish list. 1.super fine lines (this is what i want most in a pen - maru dip nibs are my best reference) 2.smooth writing - I understand this is probably not going to happen due to my #1 3.lightweight and or on the smaller side 4.eye dropper - I didnt know about burping.. sounds like a nightmare.. i guess cartridge/converter is my new favorite option 5.dependable.. least amount of nonsense (skipping, trouble starting, drying out) 6.trying to keep the cost low. 7.very open to the possibility of modifying a nib or doing something unconventional or creative to achieve the things on this list. 8. something that can handle fun inks with sheen and crazy colors.. don't really care about black ink. (i guess this also is just a dream.. fine lines limit these options too..) considering the pilot penmanship.. some reviews say its a very fine line. thanks so much everyone!

I have received a few A4 sized sheets of excellent (FP friendly, lightweight, off-white) paper. In fact I like them so much that I want to have them bound but there are no good-quality paper binding services in my neighbourhood. Can someone please give me some ideas about how I could use these lovely sheets of paper? Thank you.

Hi, I am looking to get a daily use pen. I want a pen which is lightweight and writes fine and smooth (preferably high ink capacity and nib dries slowly). I am a graduate student and will use the pen to write a lot of math symbols/proofs mostly on HP laserjet 24lb papers for long time. I have Pilot Decimo F, Lamy 2000 EF and Metropolitan F. I use VP when I take notes in class since it is retractable, but when I need to write for long time, I cannot use it since it is kind of heavy for me. Thus, I have recently bought Lamy 2000 EF for long time writing. I like the weight and the size of Lamy 2000, but it writes too thick for me even though it has extra fine nib. This one writes thicker than Decimo Fine. I really like the smoothness of Decimo. I think it is smoother than Lamy 2000 EF and Metropolitan F. The only problem I have with it is the weight. I think I like Japanese fine size nib (not sure about other brands since I only have two Pilot pens). Can anyone recommend me some good pen for me under $150? (I prefer no vintage pen) Thanks,

Never mind why I need these, lol. I just do. Uhm...science experiments. Yeah. Let's go with that! I am hoping to get recommendations for readily available a pen under $20 that takes standard international cartridges, is NOT made of metal, and is a wet writer. Slim pens don't suit me either. I am absolutely, definitely, moving away from metal-bodied pens and will be doing a couple of PIFs in a while. I already own a Kaweco Sport and four Nemosine Singularities. The Nemos fit the bill but write dry and need fiddling. There's my Rotring Core...wouldn't mind another (XL this time), but the prices have gone through the roof. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
