  1. Hello everyone I think I have a problem with the black ink lamy .I was using it normally but it started to feel very dry and the nib something rough. So I decided to clean it (I regularly clean my pen since I changed from blue to black lamy and rinsed them very well with distilled water) and discovered that the feeder had some black viscous waste and took it off with a stick and water. So is it normal that the feeder has been soiled by the ink? or there is a problem with this ink. It is also worth mentioning that I am always using my pen but this time they spent two days without using it. I use a Lamy 2000 BB with nib modified to stub.

    Lamy Vibrant Pink Ink

Hi. A while ago I bought a bottle of Lamy Vibrant Pink ink to use with my Safari. I have just bought a new nib for it and I'm also changing the ink colour. I've changed inks in my Safari before, but this time it was different. I found the pen really difficult to clean out, and I even had to totally dismantle my converter to get all of the ink out that was stuck behind the piston. Has anybody else had problems like this? Thanks!

    Lamy Ink Sampler

I made this for a discussion thread over in the Lamy sub-forum, "Is Lamy Blue Ink Really This Awful?". Here is a sampler of all the Lamy inks I have on hand, on Tomoe River paper. I had to ink-up an Al-Star with one of the few blue carts I have remaining; that's both a good thing and a bad thing. One note on the scan; my scanner makes Lamy's red (and to a lesser extent, the pink) much more saturated than in real life.
  4. As topic stated, because when I searching this topic for the answers, I see some people claimed that Lamy has changed the formulation of this ink. 1. Does this ink is waterproof and water resistant? For examination I prefer waterproof. 2. What type of this ink is? Dye, pigment or iron-gall? Thanks
