  1. Company was to show special edition pens of Mount Rainier, Mount Hood, Tetons. There's not much else on the company website. US company, pens made by Stipula, Italy. I"m curious about the pens. Not sure where to ask this question. Not affiliated with either pen company.
  2. Hello, FPNers! I know a lot of you were unable to make to the pen show. I have some pictures for you all! Unfortunately, my camera died about 20 minutes in, so there aren't as many pictures as I would've liked. The boyfriend took most of these, and I took a few- neither of us are very adept photographers, so please be kind! I think he did a good job, haha. Without further ado, pictures! http://dailypenning.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/DSC00281-1024x768.jpg http://dailypenning.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/DSC00285-1024x768.jpg http://dailypenning.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/DSC00288-768x1024.jpg http://dailypenning.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/DSC00286-1024x768.jpg http://dailypenning.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/DSC00289-768x1024.jpg http://dailypenning.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/DSC00283-1024x768.jpg http://dailypenning.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/2015021595114644-1024x576.jpg I've included all the pictures I have in this post, save for my spoils. If you'd like to read a first-timer's perspective on the show and see what I purchased, you can visit my blog: http://www.dailypenning.com Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy the pictures! -BetwixtTheLines
  3. My new DaniTrio-made Regina Martini Special Edition, the spider snaring the dragonfly: (forgive my primitive picture-taking skills) Apparently the first layer of urushi is over inlaid abalone and eggshell. It is then set aside for awhile and then re-coated several dozen times. Only 50 of these were made. The nib is a medium soft 18 k gold and platinum Martini signature, so probably Bock-made. It writes wonderfully smooth. The spider legs ensnare the dragonfly when twisted closed. The eyes are rubies. And always worth a west coast trip, a new Nakaya Decapod. This is my second Nakaya, having picked up a portable writer when John et al came to the DC show, but they said that the east coast trip was getting to be too much, so I ended up going out to them! And a long time desired Pel M1000, with an OB nib which lays a beautiful line of Edelstein ink. These are all beautiful writers and I had plenty of time to try them since I shopped from Thursday on. Wheeled and dealt 9 of my 11 pens that I brought with me. And some time to see a sight or two: Manhattan Beach Pier and Nature House: The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) to visit the full Giacometti sculpture display (no photos allowed of that) and exhibited nearby, a 19th c. Congressional desk: And time for a latte at the LACMA cafe -- I love L.A.! Thank you Randy Newman! Thanks for looking!
  4. Hi Pen Fans! We'll be heading to the LA Pen Show shortly! See the video below to take a look at the inventory that we'll be bringing.... (if you can't see the video below, click here) If you are attending the show, all of the pens above will be there! If you can't make the show, feel free to email us to inquire about any pens that you might have interest in. We will be returning on Tuesday of next week, so if I'm slow with emails, you'll know why. Thanks Brian at Edison
