    Help With A Parker 61(?)

This is my old student Parker, which has turned up at the back of a drawer after I put it aside in about 1980 in favour of inferior means of writing. I thought it was gone forever. Among other things I hand-wrote my entire PhD, 110,000 words, with this. The Parker Penography website shows it to be a Parker 61 (I think?), which would fit with a purchase date at the start of the 1970s. Is it an Insignia? This seems to be the nearest but the photos on the Parker website aren't that good. The converter was long gone so I have bought it a squeezy rubber one off ebay. Can anyone tell me anything more about it? There is a tiny shield on the cap (photo herewith) which has I and IO in the top spaces I2 and CT in the middle, and R and G in the bottom ones. The arrow was lost some time in the 1970s, and the tip of the section broke aff as well. I don't want to buy a new section and nib, since these are the originals, but can anyone tell me whether I can get hold of a new arrow to insert, and if so, where from? In the photo the whole end of the section looks pretty dirty, what is the best way to clean it? Thanks for any help anyone can give. Peter

    Parker Pen Help

Hello Fountain Pen Network! This is my first post and I was hoping to receive some help identifying and valuing some Parker pens I recently received. Now, I know this is the "Fountain" Pen Network for a reason, but my pens are ballpoints. I currently have three ballpoint Parker pens I would like to have valued and 1 of them is not an Insignia. I have no clue what it is, so I would like help identifying it. The two I know about are a Parker Insignia ballpoint pen in the Athenes finish and 1 in the Sterling Silver finish. Both have Parker emblems/badges on them and I was wondering how this affects the rareness or value of the pens. I'll have all three pens in pictures below. Please help and thanks you for any future responses!

    Indian Parker Insignia

This ballpoint pen from Parker is called Insignia in India. But, this is quite different from standard Insignia. So : 1. Is this exclusive to India ? 2. Is this unique or based on some other Parker model ?
  6. Hello guys, I've seen on a website a beautiful Parker 51 insignia manufactured in England with pretty good condition and I was about to place the order. The only question I've got is that the pen comes with a single-tone clutch ring (white-metal). I suppose an insignia/signet should come with a double-tone clutch ring with gold-plated middle recess, is that correct? Please give some advices on this one! Thanks a lot!
