Difficulty Attaching Nib Section To Body (Threading Problem?)

I am trying to repair a small, button-fill, Gold Starry pen. I have removed the fragments of the old sac. However, I have run it to an issue with the barrel and/or nib-section threading. It was incredibly difficult to separate these intially but trying to screw them back together is even harder. It just gets stuck at the beginning or partway through and won't budge any further. I have tried to clean it but I don't know if there is much to clean. It kind feels like the threading isn't aligned correctly? But I'm not sure. Any suggestions or insight would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Just got this adorable Gold Starry pen in the mail. Everything seemed practically pristine except the sac was completely obliterated. Took almost 3 hours to completely remove. Just ordered a new sac though so hopefully I can get it working soon. I can't figure out what material it's made of. My current theory is celluloid due to the approximate age and gorgeous coloring. But I have no idea what camphor smells like so I can't definitively say. I can't wait to use this pen!

A long time ago I bought a button fill Gold Starry from a French store. I checked it out to write up some notes and the celluloid has a crack right by the section. I don't see the pen ever being repaired but I'm wondering if the nib could be re-used in, say, an Estie? Any info would be gratefully received. Thought also about having a new body turned for the pen since the section threads onto the barrel - I guess this is going to be costly. If neither route is feasible then it's time to say au revoir and if anyone wants the parts do PM me. Merci, Roger
