  1. Has anyone bought from this website and if so how was the experience?
  2. So, what's the difference between a glass dip pen like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0719X5MHG/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A2MB0N7F6KWVYB&psc=1 at 7.99$ and this one... https://www.gouletpens.com/products/rohrer-klingner-glass-dip-pen-blue?variant=11884769247275 at 30.00$ (plus about 8$ shipping)? They're both made of glass...they both have high ratings, they both seem to hold a good amount of ink, etc. So, I don't understand the difference whatsoever other than how they look. Especially considering I'm going to use these for only for making ink swatches and very VERY rarely otherwise. So, once again, could anyone tell me if there are any differences between the two other than looks? And also, even if there are differences, for what I plan to do - could you guys tell me if I should just buy the cheaper one? Thanks
  3. I recently bought a Rohrer & Klingner glass dip pen to use for testing inks. While the swirls around the nib will hold ink, I cannot get them to deliver any to the writing point. I've run it on various smoothing grit pads, which may only have made it worse. But it simply will not write. I've read other complaints like this on retailers websites, but no ideas on how to correct it. I am looking for suggestions to get this guy to write- Thanks!
  4. Hey Y'all! So I have been taking an interest in dip pens lately.. I have a glass dip pen from Rohrer and Klingner and I love it! It's fantastic, but since it is made of glass, I don't want to EVER drop it. What's the best material for a dip pen? Glass, resin, a nib holding dip pen? I don't know much by way of dip pens. Can you make one yourself? Are they only to be found as vintage pens? Sorry for the bombardment of questions, I just like to be thorough. Thanks!!! -Charles

  6. Francesco Rubinato Glass Dipping Pen Green & Gold Exquisite Glass Pens handcrafted in Italy in your choice of color. An elegant desk accessory, but even more fun to use! The pens are approximately 7" in length and can be used with any fine writing ink. Easy to use and clean, just wipe off the ink with a soft cloth or towel when finished. This lovely Green Glass Fountain Pen comes with a matching Ink Well making it a great gift for any occasion! Due to the age of the pen, the ink has evaporated to less than half of the bottle. The pen is complemented with a gold overlay. View this Item on our Ebay Site, Don't like the price? 15 Ml Glass Bottles

As my ink collection continues to grow, I'm getting more concerned about contaminating my supply. The germaphobe in me is a little anxious about dipping a nib into a nearly full 3 oz. bottle of water-based ink. Plus, if I knock over a 1/2 oz. bottle of ink, I'll be less angry with myself than if I spill 3 ounces of Apache Sunset all over my desk. Anyone know a good source for smaller glass bottles? I've been on the hunt (on Amazon) for some 10 to 15 ml glass bottles for decanting ink, but most of the reviews I've seen are very mixed: cracked or poorly fitting caps. I also plan to keep a few little bottles of ink at work as a backup supply, in case I get careless and forget to check my ink levels.
  8. Is there anywhere which produces a glass nib fountain pen? I've see some on eBay, but onlynonusableones. Thanks Alex
  9. This feels like a really, really, silly question, but based on the belief that the only silly question is the one unasked, I'll ask: I was looking at this: http://www.giardino.it/pens/visconti/artescrittura.php And am confused....interchangeable nib? Does that mean the glass nib is a fountain pen, or just a glass dip nib? Can't figure it out, so would be grateful to get the answer Alex

    Pretty Bottles...woooooo

Fess up! I know we all do it. How many of us choose a particular ink because the bottle was really really really pretty. What was the last bottle of ink you got because you thought that the bottle looked gorgeous. Mine was this bottle...it sits on my desk so pretty
