I would really like to swap out the flat, untipped nibs for nibs with tipping material on them. I've read this posting from Ron Z from some years ago where he says, "re. nib swap. The nib and feed are really tight in these pens, so swapping nib for nib is hard to do." Yeah, they're at least hard to swap. After my experience I'm wondering if it's impossible to get the nib and feed out of one of these things. So i bought this parker (and a pilot short pen 2) on a whim because it was so inexpensive about $17 for the both of them. Now when i got the pen i was puzzled with the parker because in the cap it stated that it was a parker 21 but when i unscrewed the body i was shocked to see that it came with the standard 51 aerometric sac. The body didnt have any indication that it was a 51... I havent been able to take it apart since i left it at my dorm and im currently out of town, can anyone help me identify it?

Hello I am making blow filing wooden fountain pens . I was thinking of using Mahogany for the pen. Do the member of the forum think Mahogany is good wood or is something else better to make an elegant pen. I look forward to the discussion on wood choices for my pens. Yours Farhan
