I have been searching online for replacement erasers for a Montblanc Dumas mechanical pencil. No information found on Montblanc’s website. These are small diameter erasers! Any information on the eraser type for this particular pencil - Montblanc or other - will be greatly appreciated!

Ive just bought an Imperial Sovereign mechanical pencil to complete my Imperial Sovereign set of fountain pen and ballpoint. I bought the pencil as being 'serviced' however when it arrived I found it didn't work. I was going to send it straight back but had a look first. Thanks to the resources I found on this network I worked out that I found the lead had been loaded from the top end instead of from the point. They had also used the wrong size lead. It was too thick. Ive now got some 0.9 mm lead however I also noticed that the eraser had also been completely worn down. I can't seem to find the replacement size. Can anyone help? There seem to be a type G, a type P, and a type D. Can anyone help with information. thanks

Hello to all of you! I'm from Poland. I'm new here, and i would like to find some information about this stuff. While cleaning the basement i've found box with pencilcases on the photos. I have 5 of them sealed and one was slightly damaged. There are mathematical instruments as on photos. Do you know something about them? When they were made, sold, or are they valuable? The erasers mounted in mechanical pencils aren't the glorious part of the writing instrument. Certainly the lead takes center stage. But eraser width varies rather wildly from model to model and brand to brand. It seems that several "standards" were attempted here and there, but none really universally agreed upon. So... if the particular model of a mechanical pencil you have has been discontinued, it's possible the manufacturer might not even be making the eraser refill any longer. I was searching for quite a while and very frustrated because many times eraser refills are sold only with a mechanical pencil model number or name... so you have no idea what is the eraser diameter. That's essential information if you're looking for compatibility. Thankfully JetPens made the effort to include that information [LINK], so when browsing their eraser listings, click on "specifications" and most of the time you'll see the diameter info. TIP: One nice thing I discovered is that you can take a spare metal sheath and slide it around an eraser that already has a sheath to enlarge the diameter. This way you can avoid having to buy another eraser refill of a different diameter, and potentially save you a lot of money. Another thing you can do, is if you happen to have an eraser that's just a little too wide, remove the sheath and then wrap it with a small amount of aluminum tape. This will work as a "pseudo" replacement sheath, as with the pliability of the tape it's easy to conform it to fit.

I'm sure a lot of people here receive the Jetpens newsletter in their email. When I saw this today, I had to ask myself if I could one day bring myself to buy this thing, as I frequently use wooden pencils and erasers. Even the promo video is tongue in cheek and the thing looks like a joke to me... I'm a stationary freak like a lot of you out, but this... I don't know.
