    Parker Dipless

Anyone have info on this Parker desk set? I'd equate it to an Esterbrook Dipless. The base gets filled with ink, the pen picks that up when placed in the base. The section has two reliefs (not three like VP or 75), one for your thumb, one for your top finger. The nib can be rotated similar to a VP or 75 nib. The section has degree marks, labeled 0 to 7.
  2. I'm quite fond of using an Esterbrook Dipless inkwell because it ensures that a nice pen will always be at my desk, so I don't have to fish around in my satchel for a fountain pen or remember where I put it. Naturally, the pen holders these inkwells are designed for are designed to accept Esterbrook "renew point" nibs. After I realized that my previous nib was so dry because of nib damage, I swapped it out for a new-in-box one (both 9550). This new one writes wet enough, but is very scratchy. Before I go beyond the paper bag method of polishing the nib, I was thinking of perhaps fitting the pen holder with a different make of nib... say, one from Pelikan. My Pelikan nibs have always been glass-smooth out of the box. Has anyone tried this? What were your results?

    Nos Dip-Less

Hello all. I recently purchased 2 NOS Esterbrook Dip-less pens. I have desk fountain pens but these are my first dip-less pens. I got the two pens for $27 with free S&H. I think I got a great deal but have no idea what dip-less pens go for in this condition. I already have several dip-less bases and plenty of nibs. I was originally planning on using them but considering their condition now I'm hesitant. Any thoughts? Enjoy the pictures! http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah48/Davide_Borrelli/EsterbrookDipless_01_zpsrbb1uejk.jpg http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah48/Davide_Borrelli/EsterbrookDipless_03_zpszwsn7heg.jpg http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah48/Davide_Borrelli/EsterbrookDipless_04_zps93pjohr1.jpg
  4. Noble FP Sages, I have recently come into a couple desk pen sets once belonging to a late lawyer relative. I'm including additional photos just for clarity, as mine are missing a few pieces. I have glass ink bottle inserts for both units (one original, one of my own devising) so the innards are covered as far as I know. HOWEVER, I am having a painful time finding original Morris pens (the nib units are all over ebay, but not the pens...) and I don't even know what to look for with the Sheaffer, as the unit was made by the Fineline division so any searches there produce predominantly the Fineline fp's. Questions: Where can I find original pens? If that's impossible, will Esterbrook dipless or another brand work well with these? Are there some standardized dipless pens that will take the Morris nib units? Morriset Dipless Pen Set (http://www.richardspens.com/?page=ref/glossary/D.htm) Pristine Example: Mine: Sheaffer Fineline Desk Pen Better Example: Mine: Thanks for reading! I look forward to your feedback.
