  1. I am blown away by this ink. I have never been a fan of 'light' or pastelly inks, in fact I dislike them quite a bit. So having tried this ink, I repeat, I am blown away. This is a beautiful, beautiful blue-green ink, think distant shores and tropical waters with a million diamonds glinting away that make you long for a holiday and a cocktail while the sun warms... Back to the ink.. it is glorious, and the silver particles enhance it greatly. What I wasn't expecting was the crazy red sheen! What do you think? omg
  2. I have so been looking forward to trying Golden Ivy. It is a stunning green, vibrant without being gaudy. It is very emerald and lustrous in appearance (very close to MB Irish Green) even away from the shimmer particles. This ink has taken my breath away with its shading and punchy red sheen, coupled with gold shimmer and it can happily challenge my beloved Emerald of Chivor! I am delighted. Swatches on BlacknRed, Breezenotebook and Rhodia
  3. I fell in love with Cobalt Jazz (after overcoming my dislike of the name). This is a rich, regal almost electric blue ink and reminds me of Lapis and King Tutankamun's golden sarcophagus. It has the most amazing red sheen that compliments the gold perfectly. It has been a joy to use this ink. This is one I would happily buy gallons of...! I have struggled to capture the true blue of this ink with little luck.I may try and upload scans later if I can. Swatches on BlacknRed, Breeze Notebook and Rhodia
  4. Hello Friends, I have had the pleasure of reviewing Diamine's latest series of Shimmer inks, a set of 10 with 5x silver particled and 5x gold particled inks. I have tried out reviews in the Breeze Notebook containing Tomoe paper in contrast to using my trusted Black n Red Quad. The results are quite something, however, capturing them hasn't been easy. I look forward, as always to your thoughts and feedback. The set will be available in the next few weeks. This was a lovely shading, but difficult ink to use for any prolonged period of time and I had to give up with it. I wish it was a darker shade of citrus that didn't hurt my eyes so much.
  5. What a beautiful, sweet ink. I don't know how to describe the colour and it has been really hard to photograph it. Think damson, a deep berry colour with a hint of brown, dark grapes that have that silver frosting effect, its that colour. The shading is lovely as is the silver frosting. I have really enjoyed this ink. I am not an artist by any stretch of the imagination, but I LOVE orchids, so I thought I'd attempt to draw one. I am sure your cat could do better, if you had one that can draw, but I am happy with my effort and assured that I must never give up my day job!
