Any Pen-Stuff In Delhi?
Aditkamath26 posted a topic in India & Subcontinent (Asia)Namaste people. This coming Wednesday is pretty special because after a gap, I'm going to India again. Yaaay!!! This time we planned to give Delhi a small visit. Now, being the person I am, whenever a destination is chosen for a trip, I search for possible pen shops. I did the same here but I really couldn't get much in detail. So to all people who've been to or are in Delhi, are there any pen shops that sell for amazing prices? I'm mostly looking to purchase an everyday writing pen (Mostly Indian made) and also some spare nibs and ink if possible, for the best prices. an anyone help me? Thanks and regards, Adit Kamath

A Brief Comparison Of Super5 Delhi And Noodler's Apache Sunset
truthpil posted a topic in Ink ComparisonsHi Everyone, This is just a quick comparison I made of two shading orange inks: Super5 Delhi and Noodler's Apache Sunset. I was surprised at how similar they can look and the shading with both is impressive. The huge advantage, for some at least, of Delhi is that it's completely waterproof once dry! If you've been hoping for a waterproof version of Apache Sunset, Super5 Delhi may be close enough to fit the bill. My only complaint with Delhi as far as behavior goes is that it left pink stains in my TWSBI demonstrator that I still haven't been able to get out. Here's what these two oranges look like on a cheap legal pad: Some close-ups: And on 80gsm Rhodia: Rhodia close-ups: I hope this is useful for someone!

#3/19 Le Parker Duofold Black Centennial Xix Commonwealth Games 2010 (New Delhi) Fountain Pen
abhinavgoel posted a topic in ParkerHi I wish to share with you a prized possession of mine, one of the only 19 Limited Edition Parker Duofold Black Centennial Fountain Pens, launched on the occasion of the XIX Commonwealth Games 2010 held in New Delhi (India)! This special pen received a fair share of media attention at the time launch, as the first of this limited edition was presented to His Royal Highness Prince Charles in an event organized in Delhi before the XIX Commonwealth Games opening ceremony. As per an article I read, of the 19 pens, apart from Prince Charles, 1 each was gifted to the Queen of England, Shri D K Jain (Chairman & Managing Director of Luxor group) Smt Sonia Gandh (Congress President) and Dr. Manmohan Singh (Prime Minister of India). And the remaining 14 were sold to collectors across India at a retail price of approx USD 2K at the time. It was quite a fortunate chance that I was able to purchase one directly at the time of launch in Oct-2010. I got the low numbered edition #3 pen (each pen has the unique serial no, 1-19, and the edition limit engraved on the barrel). I have this pen in mint, unused condition with original box, packing material, receipt and COA. I was curious to know what my pen could be worth in today's market, and also appreciate any advice from senior members of the forum on whether this pen is worth selling or keeping as my son's inheritance. regards Abhinav
