Suggestions for a legible ink that is between orange and pink, not strident but more soft? Coral, Apricot, Peach ... Have I said legible? J.Herbin Corail des Tropiques is a little more orange and a little lighter than I want; that's the only one I have tried so far. Mountain of Ink says Diamine Coral is even lighter, so maybe not that one. It's an unusual color, so any suggestions would be most welcome.

I have always loved and used Herbin Rouille D'Ancre, which, for all its quirks (listed elsewhere) I find to be a unique "Gentleman's Pink". . . . . until I discovered a near doppelganger which, ulp, might be an improvement on the original (although similarly loathed by reviewers on here!). . . . . and then yesterday a third, although this one tends a bit more "rust" . . . . which might also make it the salmon/coral that I have been searching for but not yet found? Still in the heady days of first love here, so I'll report back with clearer spectacles as the roses fall off, but here's a first sample: Another arrangement: I didn't label them as a kind of a quiz! One is the French original, one is from Japan (ergo costly as a US import), and one is from Germany - but which is which? (I'd be happy to tell, if anyone is interested!)

Is It Normal For Lamy's Le Colors To Still Be Sold More Than A Year After Its Production Run?
missphoenix posted a topic in Lamy
Hello, Lamy newbie here. I wanted to get a Safari and saw the Neon Coral is still available on eBay for around $25 from different sellers. That seems a little strange, since the Coral was a 2014 LE and I figured there'd be none left to sell in 2016. I bought one there anyway, but I'm already suspicious that it may be a fake. However, JetPens is also still selling it, in Medium only, for $28.50, and they're an authorized retailer. Again, we're talking about a 2014 Limited Edition here. Has anybody happened to see something like this before?- 6 replies

Firstly.....and hoping it's ok to post this( I always seem to be asking that....) I saw this( won't put any detail other than pic).....and having been bitten by the ripoff bug before, I wonder....is it real? The second isn't a question as such....just a drool....... Two pics of the "is it genuine" followed by one of the drool.....well, not a photo of my actual drool - that would not be A Good Thing....a bit of pen porn..... Alex

Now that it has gotten properly winter-like where I live, I find myself choosing very bright colors occasionally as a reminder that summer will indeed come again. Once it gets a bit closer to the holidays I’ll pick more reds and greens, but for today it’s hot pink. This ink was released to match the 2014 Neon Coral Safari, and I do think that they are a good pair. Very bright, especially the ink. Similar to other corals and hot pinks, this ink is not something that you would want to write a draft of a novel in, because you would be blind by the end of it. Much better for making corrections to that draft, because you won’t miss them with this color. Other than how ridiculously bright it is, this was a well-behaved ink. Good flow, no bleeding or feathering that I noticed, but sadly no water resistance at all (not that I really expected it). I wish I would have remembered to try this ink on a more cream colored paper, to see if it could subdue the color a bit. Other than super awful office paper, it did work well on pretty much everything I threw at it and didn’t put a fight to being highlighted, though that’s a bit overkill I think. Overall, this is a fun ink but certainly not a necessary purchase. I bought it in cartridges, mostly because I have taken to refilling Lamy carts rather than use the converter, but that’s a story for another day. Lamy carts are pretty large so even though you pay a bit more for them, I think it’s not a bad deal, particularly with this ink that’s more of a novelty. You can also get this ink in bottled form, but I’ve only seen it at Goulet Pens (no affiliation, just happy customer) and Amazon, where it’s like twice the price as at GPC. If you are looking to buy the bottled ink, I would probably recommend Diamine Coral instead, because it’s a better deal unless you really want the Lamy bottle. This ink was purchased with my own money and I am not being compensated for this review in any way. All opinions above are my own and you are free to disagree with them if you like. How Do Diamine Peach And Coral Compare To Edelstein Mandarin?
Floreat posted a topic in Inky Thoughts
Having just spotted the lovely-looking Diamine Peach and Coral on Amber's thread, I was wondering if anyone could let me know how they compare to Pelikan's Edelstein Mandarin please? I have the latter, but a pinky-orange might be nice to own too, if it's different enough Thank you! -
I've seen all these colors when visiting the Grand Canyon except the one ink named Grand Canyon. Oh, this is a Co-Written - Crazy - Comparison - Review. http://sheismylawyer.com/She_Thinks_In_Ink/2014-Inklings/slides/2014-Ink_523.jpg
