  1. I've finished restoring the old BCHR coin filler I found at an antique mall. New talced sac and J-Bar, flushed the nib, feed and section. Pen is now sucking up and expelling ink easily with a few presses of a coin, but it's not writing! I'm just wondering if it would be worth it to send off to a nib meister to get it writing as nice as it looks (nib looks good to me, no damage that I can see), or would that just be throwing good money after bad? This is my first pen of this type, so I have no idea of value. I don't want to spend the money to get it to write like a pro (even though it's pretty flexy!) if it just isn't worth it to restore back to that level. If it's worth a trip to a nib meister I'll gladly keep going with it and do that so it writes as nice as it should, (and then probably sell it). If it's not worth much, I'll just keep it as-is for my collection. Any opinions or help please? Light pressure shows some decent flex.
  2. I just bought(has not arrived yet) a bastardized waterman's crusader from a fellow FPNer(lahlahlaw) with a blow-fill hero 616 barrel. I was thinking while it is pretty awesome, making it a coin-filler and blow filler would make it even cooler. As far as i know all i need to do is put a j/pressure-bar to put in the barrel and to cut the slit, how do i find the bar, and is it economical/practical to do this? This is the pen(courtesy lahlahlaw)
