Decograph Price Drop And Clearance Items

http://i66.tinypic.com/2h4xle0.jpg After 9 months of refining the machining and finishing process, adjusting the programming, testing out tooling, and pushing to make quality improvements; we feel that we've mastered the process of working with plastics in our machines. Our goal all along was to use our machines to their full capabilities to decrease loss and flaws and provide a nearly finished product on each pen we manufacture. The process was long and somewhat arduous, Bill Karas probably pulled out more hair fighting with some of the intricacies of each material during this process than he's lost in his entire 20+ year career as a machinist. Suffice to say, during this process we've identified ways to increase the quality while decreasing the time each pen needs to make. As such we can pass that along to you, the customer, in the form of reduced pricing. If you want to know more about this, we've gone into some detail on it in one of our latest . For those of you asking just what this means, let's break it down. Our Standard Decograph in Black and Green was released with an MSRP of $165 dollars. This pricing has been consistent with all of our Limited Release Decographs to this point, including the last two, 1703 and 1801. With the improvements and changes we've made, we can now offer those pens and most future releases for $140 dollars. But we've also repriced our premium nib upgrades on the Decograph. You'll now be able to get most of our Decograph offerings with a Titanium nib for $165 dollars, previously the Titanium upgrade was priced at $205. Also our 14k Gold nib upgrade is being reduced from $255 dollars to $215 dollars. These prices are active on our website now, and will be reflected on most of our future releases. We do have a few of the 1703 Winter's Tale and 1801 Sleeping Beauty LE pens left, if you've been waiting, now is the time to act. http://i66.tinypic.com/4ggdj6.jpg MINI K CLEARANCE After analyzing our product over the last year, we've come to a point in time where we have decided to discontinue the Mini K pens. While they initially sold well and filled a void in our product line, they steeply dropped off after the initial release. We received a lot of feedback on the pens in general and after waiting and really considering our options; we finally decided to stop manufacturing on the Mini K and sell through our existing stock. For that reason, we've slashed the price on both the Render K Mini and Fountain K Mini by $30.00. You can now get a Render K Mini for the ultra-low price of $30.00 dollars and a Fountain K Mini for $45.00 dollars. Yes you heard us right, fully machined Karas Pen Co pens for less than $50 bucks. These pens will still carry our lifetime service guarantee and our manufacturers warranty. They're selling fast, if you want one or ten, now's the time to act! http://i64.tinypic.com/o86kr9.png Why I Write Pt. 2 Now that we have the long and relatively boring origin story out of the way we can focus on more important things. The ideas that drive me to write. My “writer’s ethos” for lack of a better term. I’ve been told my motivation to write is both sentimental and romantic. That it lacks a lot of mechanical reasoning. I’m perfectly okay with that. I don’t ascribe to the idea that writing has to have a designed purpose...(READ MORE)
  3. http://i68.tinypic.com/o0xmyo.jpg BARSTOCK CLEARANCE! After much deliberation, we are discontinuing the Barstock K Series. The Barstock pens were something we added to our line when we were asked for a true "beat around" pen. Something that a person could carry around in a rough environment and would hold up to any and all abuse. We didn't do anything special to the outside of the pen, leaving it unturned in its raw form. The caps are smooth caps, something we've never offered on a pen before. Outside of the clip there aren't any changes to the outside of the pen, the idea was the pen would look like a raw piece of material that we use to make our K Series pens. We are out of stock on the white Delrin and phenolic bodies, and have decided discontinue and sell through the raw aluminum and black Delrin rather than make more of these pens. We have some design ideas in a replacement bang around pen that we'll be prototyping this year. The Barstock pens have the following new Closeout Pricing: Barstock Render K - $40.00 USD Barstock Fountain K - $55.00 USD Decograph - Design. History. Technology. http://i63.tinypic.com/rmtxeh.jpg A streamlined, classically-influenced pen with a modern look and feel. The Decograph is a design and material hybrid that brings together elements of our metal writing instruments with fully machined thermoplastics into a quality writing experience. We've spent time looking at our particular influences in art and design along with our desire to produce high quality writing instruments and crafted a pen we feel fits our aesthetic and speaks to where we have been going as a company. Drawing on Art Deco influences of the early 20th Century and using 21st Century CNC Machining technology, we're translating our ideas into a pen that blends aircraft grade aluminum and stainless steel with modern high-strength thermoplastics fully machined in Mesa, Arizona. For more information on this pen, check out are pre-release video. Available August 2017. KARAS PEN CLUB COIN http://i63.tinypic.com/20sauqp.jpg The wait is over! We saw a lot of new faces. Got some great interaction. Had some pen related discussions that were quite entertaining. It was a great time had by all that attended. We're not about to slow down, below you can find the dates for the Pen Meetups for the rest of 2017. We hope to see you if you have a chance to stop by whether you're an Arizona native or just happen to be in Arizona when we host one, come spend a few hours with us on a Saturday afternoon. The August meet up will take place on August 12th from 4pm - 7pm at Karas Kustoms (126 S. Country Club Drive, Mesa, AZ 85210). 4. I found a small stash of journals on sale at my local Office Depot for $1 each marked down from $4.99 that are just as FP friendly as the Walmart notebooks recently discussed here. About the length of a pen, 160 lined pages. Item #757-397 and #757-388. They had a few more but I only purchased three of those (two different ones of the first in cat prints, one of the second in owl print) because they had elastic band closures. They had others in metallic owl print, coffee mug print, and ones without elastic band closures. I figured if they weren't FP friendly I could use them as gifts, but now they're ink testing journals. Just wanted to give a shout out about them. May or may not be clearanced out in your area, but it seemed like it was part of their end of school season clearance.
