  6. Hi, I was hoping some of you will be able to help me. My father had a collection of fountain pens which are now in my possession. His collection includes a few very prestige pens (from what I gather), including a Danitrio. I know nothing about fountain pens, so I need some help identifying the model of this pen (pics attached). I'd like to sell this pen, however knowing nothing about it, this is pretty difficult! I'm looking for the specific name & model, and perhaps even an estimate of how much this pen was purchased for so I can gauge the price I should sell at. Saying that, should anyone be interested in purchasing, do let me know. Many thanks in advance! J

    Hi! I'm New Here!

Hey! My name's Calvin, and I'm just getting into fountain pens! I'm 18, and I've been lurking for months in the community. Not here so much, but on JetPens, CultPens, Goulet (most of all), YouTube, etc. I just stumbled across my grandpa's old aerometric Parker 51 and his Snorkel Sentinel... about an hour after I bought 2 bottles of ink and an Edison Nouveau Premier. Anyway, I'm excited to get into this! I've written with fountain pens a little bit and I absolutely love them. I love smooth writing stuff. I use 4B lead in my pencils, and I look forward to some nice smooth nibs! And also... how do I post an ad in the classifieds? I can't seem to figure it out. I'm sure I'm just being stupid, but this is a serious question. I have a Rotring 600 Gold to sell and want to post an ad here... but I'm too much of a dunce to figure it out! Where's the "Post new ad" button?! Thanks, have a great day!!!
  8. Dearest Members and Visitors to our Little Fountain Pen Nuthouse on the Digital Prairie, As some of you have noticed, there still are a few flaws in our Classifieds software. It doesn't prevent it from working, but when they crop up they are annoying, especially the one in particular preventing the renewal of items listed. It doesn't happen always, but when it does, it means recreating the advert essentially from scratch. In order to alleviate this problem we have made a few changes to the setup, where an advert doesn't have to be renewed anymore, but will run now for 180 days, which is the original 30 days plus the original 5 renewals. Obviously this would mean that a classified under normal circumstances would never float to the top of the list anymore. Fortunately we found a solution for this too, namely a similar implementation we used to have before, namely a bump button with a time delay. We have set this bump button (Push Ad button) to the same time delay we used to have in the old style sales forums, namely 7 days. IOW, every 7 days you can now bump your advert to the top again, and no complex renewals are required anymore to achieve this. The button will indicate how many days there are left before it can be used again. Enjoy! Warm regards, Wim On behalf of the FPN Moderator and Admin Team
  9. Hi all, With all due respect could I request that members selling in the classifieds please take into account the time differential that other members are experiencing. I was in the process of making enquiries yesterday on one of two very nice pens that fitted perfectly into my budget when I was essentially informed that both had been sold before my last enquiry was answered. Not a nice thing to be told.
