From the album: Translated third-party contentThis information on PenBBS inks was pretty difficult to find, not the least because the source material was presented as an image file that does not lend itself well to text searching; that it is written in (simplified) Chinese just makes it all that much harder for non-Chinese-speaking pen users, who cannot copy-and-paste the text, or have any hope of manually entering the text, into a language translation tool to make sense of it.
From the album: Odds and endsTrying to get the hang of what I can (and what I cannot) with the features of the FPN Image Gallery on the upgraded forum platform. Source: AliExpress PenBBS is mostly known for its pen models on English-language fountain pen hobbyist forums, but it also makes a heck of lot of different inks — including some pigment inks and shimmer inks besides dye inks — and releases sometimes ten, sometimes a dozen, or even two dozen new ink colours at a time in batches it refers to as ‘seasons’. Each ink is both numbered and named, but from what I've seen, the name of a particular ink is usually given either only in Chinese or only in English,
I was thinking of purchasing an ink stick. The one I am looking at is 16cm * 3.5cm * 1.7cm. How much ink can I make from this stick. These come in set of 3 and I don't think I will use it that much. I will mostly be using it with dip pen or glass pen mostly for drawing. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32955351137.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.7c2e3c00C9nZKp&mp=1 Can anyone tell me if these ones are good. I don't really know what to look for in ink sticks. There is no description. What info I should ask the seller?
Penbbs is chinese fountain pen forum. It seems the guys are not only talking about pens but also mixing inks and the moment they've created approximnately 200 inks. Wow. I remember I've seen Lgsoltek reviews of their inks and I had a chance to try opuntia Stricta ink that was rather nice in terms of color and quite plesant to use. Recently I've received samples of few other Penbbs inks. Ink no. 184 (can someone who knows chinese follow the link and translate it to english?) is well behaved yellow ink. It looks rather nice in broad Kaweco nib and the shading potential is strong. The ink
