I'm tempted to head over to the 2017 Cambridge Pen Show before meeting up with a friend for food (he's not in to pens). What can I expect there, or more accurately will it be mainly vintage pens being sold or will there also be the online pen shops selling new pens and ink ? Also are there ever any guest pen manufacturers at these (such as Franklin Christoph).
This is an ongoing bleed-through comparison test between ten different commercially available notebooks. This test will continue as long as there is interest in it and pages remaining in the current set of test notebooks. Method This is a simple test, and will involve three steps: 1. Every time I fill a pen with ink I will write the names of the pen, nib size, and ink in ten different notebooks. 2. I saw this pen & pencil set in a local auction. I did bid but I didn't win it. It was lotted with an odd collection of stuff including a set of medical instruments( probably ophthalmic surgeons tools by Weiss) and a Police truncheon! However, I am keen to know more about it as its not a brand I've heard of and it wasn't in my reference books. It looks if it is in the original case and "Cambridge deluxe" was imprinted on the pen barrel which was rather badly crazed. It looks 1930s styling but the price of 42/- (42 shillings or £2.10 in decimal notation) suggest the 1950s. Does anyo
