  1. I bought my fountain pen from Ranga pens. Its an Abhimanyu model in acrylic with a #6 Jowo nib. This pen feels very comfortable in my hand and I'm planning to upgrade it to a titanium nib since I want to try one. As per my limited knowledge Bock is the only supplier of titanium nibs. But I don't know if a bock nib unit will fit into a pen threaded for Jowo nib. I got this doubt because on the website thepenworld.com they have Jowo compatible nib units separately and Bock compatible nib units separately, both made by Kanwrite. So I was wondering if there is difference in them both. Can anyone advice me on that? Is it possible for me to upgrade this pen to a titanium nib or I have to purchase one more with a titanium nib?

    Jowo And Bock Fine Nibs

So the pen that I am considering buying comes with a #6 Bock nib, and so far I haven't had the best experience with their #5 nibs as the "extra-fine" was thicker than my #6 Jowo fine. I'm not sure if this is just due to the different nib sizes as I haven't been into fountain pens that long. Is this just something that occurs with smaller nib sizes or does Bock actually make their nibs with a thicker line?
  3. What kind of service do Bock provide? It seems like so many pen makers use Bock nibs, yet so many reviews also comment of the various properties of company specific features like the "conway stewart", or "Visconti" feel of a nib. Surely, nib material aside; Bock made nibs must be fairly similar to each other?! That is unless of course, that Bock provide some kind of consulting process in which the pen maker brings what they want, which Bock then go on to manufacture. Any thoughts or insights?
