  1. Granada; once the great province of the Nazrid dynasty which still houses the magnificent Alhambra palaces and the royal chapel and grave of the warrior queen Isabella and her side-kick, Ferdinand along with many other treasures, has, in a street covered with stone arches a small and unassuming Montblanc store which houses many treasures waiting to snare the unwary traveler. In forty degrees heat and after far, far too many coffees in a deli that had at least thirty pigs worth of cured hams hanging off the ceiling, I must surely have been suffering heat stroke when I drooled over a choice of t
  2. Wanted to give a brief report on the LeGrand Blue Hour with OM nib for which I waited patiently for almost six months. I inked it with Blue Hour ink and used it at work yesterday. The pen is much heavier than a 149 and just as long, but the OM nib is excellent, and the ink matches the color of the pen very nicely. It should do just as well with the Tolstoy Sky Blue. I am very grateful to La Couronne du Comte for their usual excellent service, as well as their pricing that enabled me to obtain this pen. Mont Blanc quality shows through all around with this magnificent pen.
  3. Hi all, I'm new to pen collection & in need of some advice. Basically, I have decided more or less to get a Mont Blanc rollerball pen. So far I have a Lamy 2000 fountain pen but due to leakage it's being sent away for servicing. Here are my choices, which do you all think is a better choice? 1. The 'M' rollerball (pity this can't accept the fine tip rollerball refill which I prefer & the part where the finger grip portion is with those tiny square patterns not sure if writing long term will be uncomfortable for the fingers?) 2. Heritage Rouge & Noir rollerball (quite like the

    Goutlet Pen Flush

Good Evening, I've recently purchased a Montblanc Blue Hour LeGrande fountain pen with a medium nib and I am really enjoying it. I have finally found my paring for Nib and Paper, using Thome River paper. I was anxious to test different inks in the pen and I went on an ink purchasing frenzy. I had Pilot Iroshizuku Kon-Peki ink and it is my go-to ink as I truly love the color and how the ink flows. It really is top shelf ink. In addition to Kon-Peki, I bought some Diamine, Montblanc, Waterman, and Pelikan Edelstein inks. I had no issues flushing out the inks with normal tap water as Montblan

    Montblanc Skeleton Blue Hour

Last wednesday I got a mail from Dennis of La Couronne du Comte in Tiburg: " The blue skeleton was in the house!" Well Montblanc took us by surprise, it wasn't expected before september. You can imagine how I spend this saturday. Driving 70 km to Tilburg to admire Montblanc's latest beauty. And a beauty it is, the ice blue - platinum combination surpasses the red gold - grey combination of the 90th anniversary skeleton by miles. The strict geometric design of the platinum nib is just outrageous. The decision was quickly made, after a few months of display in Tilburg, it will be joining the 9
