I bought my Visconti Van Gogh "Starry Night" exactly one month ago. I have not done a video or written review of the pen because I wanted to write with the pen for a decent amount of time before forming my thoughts. Well, I formed my thoughts fairly quickly but never got around to the review. Now that I've purchased another Visconti; the "Breeze" for my wife for her birthday, I thought I'd put the two together into a joint unboxing, comparison review. So I did a video of the unboxing yesterday and compared the Van Gogh to the new model Breeze. I'm posting the YouTube review here, but in the next reply, I will write out my thoughts on the Van Gogh using the standard review format. The video review is longer than my usual videos because it has an unboxing, a presentation of the gift and then a head to head comparison and writing samples of both pens. I've put an index in the description to skip ahead if you choose.
What are people's first impressions of this new entry-level pen from Visconti? I just adore my Van Gogh Starry Night and I'm thinking of ordering one of these for my wife's birthday the moment Goulet puts it up for sale (early March they say). I like the cap band moving to the body and the rocker arm on the clip. I also like that the body material is on the section. The magnetic cap system now has notches that line it up properly and don't allow it to spin once capped. It is certainly no Medici or HS, but for $96US it is worth a try.
